Jesus, meanwhile, said Pope Francis is the saviour. Eat, shoots, and leaves.
Great pictures, but the commentary is garblicious.

Great pictures, but the commentary is garblicious. This event took place a couple of hours ago. For now, the commentary by Vatican Radio is a summary of his homily delivered in Italian. The photos come from an Italian publication.

Sorry I won’t be praying to Mary.
1 Timothy 2:5
For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus
That pretty much leaves Mary and the saints right out.

Since Mary is not God—neither the Mother of God (except for the body of Christ). She cannot be omnipresent. I imagine she is busier than a one-armed wallpaper hanger trying to help everyone. Perhaps Santa could give her some pointers?

Maybe the English-speaking writer took the day off. Usually, the articles about the Pope’s daily sermons are coherent.

More “Mary” worship.
Exodus 20:3
“Thou shalt have no other gods before me.”
The Ten Commandments, you may have heard of them. (This is número uno , by the way). Just a little Spanish lingo, there.

It’s possible. I’ve seen some hysterical results from that.

So as not to make this nothing but language discussion, I’ll add that, although I still don’t like the church building very much, it all looks much nicer with the plaza full of people. Looks like pleasant weather, too.

Nevertheless, though you say I'm "left out," I will still pray for you.
"Dear Lord, please bless that Cyclops08."
Can I have an Amen?

some day I would like to go to Rome and to the Holy Land. I can’t find many serious Catholics here, the ones I grew up with as biological family are liberals...........

That alarms me too, there is just enough truth mixed in with Roman Catholicism, that it looks good, yet it’s still a wolf in sheep’s clothing. Bible talks about how many will be deceived, as a kid I never fully understood that, but I look now and I see it clearly.

all Christians are saints, that’s clear in scripture too. It’s also clear about having no other gods before him and who to worship and pray to.

Non-Catholic: Catholics worship Mary!
Catholic: Catholics don't worship Mary. Church teaching is very clear that we are to worship God alone. We venerate (honor) her and ask for her prayers (much as I'd ask you to pray for me), but we don't worship her. If you see a Catholic who you presume is worshiping Mary, either you are wrong and are misreading their heart, or (possibly) you are right and you are looking at a Catholic who is ignorant of Church teaching. Got that?
Non-Catholic: Yeah, but...Catholics worship Mary!
Saint Worship?
