I guess you are telling me these “more restrictive rules” for the religion forum mean that I cannot participate if I don’t agree with attacking Mormonism?

Actually it’s not fine but hey I guess you are telling me the religious forum is for anti Mormons only. Because otherwise, why am I being lectured that it’s the religious forum?
The main guideline here is to "discuss the issues all you want, but do not make it personal." Argue theology, philosophy, history, etc. - but do not make the thread "about" individual Freepers.
It's been almost two hundred years since this wacky faith started and Romney lost anyway. Can't some people give it a rest?! Talk about deranged moral relativism; some people squawk about Mormons when Muslims, the greatest impending threat to all of mankind, are totally ignored. Mormons have murdered anyone in a hundred and fifty years, this ridiculous falderal is extremely tiresome.

I just read the religious forum rules. I would like to point out that whenever there is an anti mormon thread, a number of people will post that these people (the anti mormons) are crazy, fanatics, etc. Therefore, I did not realize until now that there is a rule against criticizing them personally.
I do wish to see all FR articles and I wish to comment on them. I do not wish to violate the rules, nor is it necessary to make a personal attack to respond to the articles.
I will merely comment that it is a bit strange to have swarms of people attacking a religion, but the attackers are not themselves fair game.
Accepting all of the rules, it astounds me that with radical Islam turning this world upside down, so much energy is being wasted on articles about the Mormon religion.
And they did so in record numbers. 78% voted for Mitt Romney.* The only constituency more solid for a candidate was the black vote for Obama.
*78% according to both Fox exit polls and Ralph Reed.
Therefore contentiousness between faiths should be expected in "open" Religion Forum debate, e.g. condemnations, ridicule. But when the focus turns from the belief to the individual Freeper who holds that belief, flame wars often result.
For instance, it would be ok to say on an "open" Religion Forum thread that "Scientology is stupid" but it would not be ok to say "You are stupid."
Who is ignoring Muslims? I’d just about lay money that every single Christian who is aware enough to be out there condemning Mormonism also object to Islam just as vehemently.
Just because a few people take up a special mission to preach against Mormonism doesn’t mean anyone is ignoring the threat of Islam either. There are all sorts of specialized roles in the Church, just like every part of the body has its own specific function, rather than being able to do every job. Your objection is equivalent to complaining that the ears aren’t doing enough seeing for your liking.

There have been threads and posts exposing mormonISM for more than a decade on FR in the religion forum, truth about mormonISM is not hate nor is it anti-mormon.
(Not Catholic with a big "C"...I s'pose technically "catholic" with a small "c"...as in part of the universal church)

Sorry...but there weren't dead angels' bodies lying around in heaven...with some angelic perp on the loose.
IOW, Jesus defined "murder" in the broadest spiritual sense...the death of souls...the death of relationships with God...what the Bible references as "the second death."
Also in John 8, Jesus referenced the legalistic Pharisees as "children of the devil." The #1 legalistic religion we have on the Planet Earth -- at least in any significant #s -- is Mormonism.
Whatever cults Satan is able to work thru yields long-term that "second death."
And for you to define death only in materialistic terms shows how naturalistically shallow you are; how reductionistic you are.

Hey, I’ve got an idea. You seem to have enough spare energy to complain about anti-Mormons on anti-Mormon threads. Why don’t you redirect that energy to posting some anti-radical Islam articles? You’ll be too busy to worry about what’s going on over on these threads, and you’ll be doing your part to fight the jihadi menace.
