Trailer Trash Cook Book - that is actually a great cook book, my Mother in law has a copy and I really like it.
For Christmas she bought me “Mother Maybelle’s Cookbook” by June Carter Cash, I laughed when I saw one of the recipies was ‘Squirrel with dumplings” - how much more redneck can you get!
One of our neighbors brought us a freshly killed Wild Canadian Goose right before Christmas, that was interesting to figure out how to pluck it, clean it and roast it for Christmas dinner.
I believe what Jesus taught and the law of GOD is eternal...

Ummm...so you don’t believe in Salvation by Grace is that it? The LAW was done away with on the Cross.
You dont know me, yet you hurl an insult...
saying: You seem to be well schooled in Oprahs brand of christianity.
- - - -
Not an insult, more of an observation. Oprah excels in spreading the ‘all paths lead to God’ type philosophy you have so clearly expressed here.
And false gospels and false Christs
I find it sadly humorous to watch you defend those very false teachers and false prophets.
Tell me do you believe that there are more than one true God in all existance?
Do you believe Jesus is a created being, spiritually the brother of satan?
Do you believe you have to perform numerous works in order to earn grace and salvation?
Perhaps you should consider how Jesus and the Apostles addressed those when encountered.
Yes...Salvation by Grace is a gift...Not by anything we have done, but what Christ has done for us....
Where is it written that GOD’s law became null and void?
How would you like Orthodox Judaism coming to you and saying
your faith is false, rooted in Paganisim? Would you appreciate that? furthermore you are not going to abandon what you believe in as a Christian, just like a Mormon isnt or an Orthodox Jew would.
You are not going to abolish the Mormon Faith, so is it better to get in a no win situation debating scripture, or is it better to be a reflection of Jesuss teachings and live like he would want you to?

I would debate them, not change the subject or run away like Mormons do. I can defend my faith, Mormons never can.
How do I know? Because I used to be Mormon, and part of what got me out was trying to debate those who challenged my Mormon faith. Just being a good example of Christianity doesn’t work with Mormons -EVER. Because they believe they are better at it than you are. I know because I felt that way too once. Mormons look at people with your view as easy mark for conversion to their cult. I had so called Christian friends who thought like you when I was LDS. I liked them, but I didn’t respect them and I didn’t see their faith as being worth anything because they wouldn’t fight or debate it. I saw them as potential converts to Mormonism.
No one thinks we can abolish Mormonism completely, but we are going to try. Are you aware that there are people leaving Mormonism in droves and becoming real Christians, through things like this? Through debate and reasoning? We have seen it 3 times HERE ON FREEP alone in the last 3 years. Every single Mormon that leaves and comes to Christ is a reason to rejoice and it is being done through methods like this. Watch “Heart of the Matter” with Shawn McCraney, read Utah Lighthouse Ministry Newsletters, see how they approach, the truth and strongly and it is working.
The Mormons ARE LOST - don’t you get that?!?! They need to be brought into the fold. And you can’t love them to the Lord UNTIL you extract them from that brainwashing cult. And I am not being melodramatic, I was brainwashed and I didn’t see it until I started to leave.
I thank GOD that people loved me enough to challenge me rather than take your approach. If they did, I would still be Mormon and lost.
Jesus never ever got into a theological debate with the Pharisees, vs. the Essenes vs. the Samaritans..’
- - - - -
You SURE about that?
I believe in the Holy Bible..
The WORD of GOD that became flesh..
I believe I am saved by grace not works....
I spend most of my witness as a Christian to Un-believers the ones that have left the church entirely because of religion, and try to be a witness of truth in a society that has rejected GOD and his plans for mankind....
Do you know anything about mormonISM?
Traditional marriage - really?
Can this be the case in a church that boasts so much of its wisdom, and that prides itself so much in the number and qualifications of its intelligent members?
- - - - - -
You mean like MORMONISM??
And frankly, I am seeing a lot more of Oprah in your views than Jesus, just by what you listed as Christian churches and that they don’t need to believe in the Trinity.
John 14:6Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.- ring a bell?
What if you believe in a different Jesus? Then you cannot come to the Father. It is real simple.
From your posts, I’m thinking you need to read the Bible for the FIRST time.
I can give you some links to some doctrinally sound studies if you wish. You need to stop hanging out with the JW’s.
You are right...I don’t know..I have never read the Book of Mormon...
I do know many that have left the church, former Catholics and Protestants, and also have a bad taste in thier mouth regarding Organized religion....
When you come to know Jesus Christ, embrace him as your LORD and Savior, repent of your sins and take up the cross serving other’s then you are on the path IMHO that lives a life that CHrist calls his sheep and church
..I read the Bible daily, but thanks for your concern...
That is well and good. Once again, you rebuke similar efforts to reach those unbelievers who have left the Body of Christ and into a false body, following a false Christ. To expose them to the truth of their religion so that they can see God’s plan for mankind.
So, once again, mormonism rejects the tenants of faith which you claim as truth. Your actions have been opposite to the ones you state on this thread.
Sorry, Tara but I can judge. I am permitted to judge everything against the Word and Will of God Almighty - its Biblical. The only thing I am not permitted to do is judge a persons heart that alone belongs to God.
You are correct, you can accept Jesus as your personal Savior, it can end there.
YET most people want to live for Christ and have it not end there.
There are things we are permitted and commanded to do......judge and witness. Everyone has thier own style, some are kind and gentile, some are not.
There was nothing kind about John the Baptist, one of the greatest witnessness of all, then centuries later you have Billy Grahman one of the most gentile men to ever have lived and everything in between, your instance that we all be this weak witness types grows weary.
We are all different and we are all needed in the capacity we are given.
It is for the Kingdom we serve not your sensibilities.
Everybody has a different way they reach people for Jesus Christ....
Jesus knows who his true church is...
Maybe you have read the Bible daily, but have you actually read it?
I will agree with your post..
We all have different gifts and talents with the spirit of Christ.
Yes....
I have read it...
My faith in Christ is Solid Rock...I know Jesus my Savior and he knows me...
My walk is daily, and I don’t post here much anymore because I felt GOD has led me to a different path in my witness as a Christian....
But I appreciate speaking with you all on this topic...
;-)
