Forgot to respond to the my being more vigilant jab. That was one of the points I was trying to make. I am EXTREMELY cautious when it comes to my kids. They are safe in the Catholic Church. More so than if they were part of a scout program through the local public school or other such gathering. I homeschool my kids and we are raising them to be of strong faith. That is the most important thing in our house.
You can read all the sensational news you want about the Catholic Church but you aren’t living this faith on a daily basis. I see no reason for you to spend so much of your time trying to knock it to the ground. There are millions of Catholic families totally at peace with the Catholic Church. That should tell you something. I’m not a mindless robot. I don’t take orders from the Vatican. I don’t get an email with weekly talking points from Rome. We are an average family living life to the best of our abilities given to us by God.
