Pssst - I am a LATIN RITE Catholic.
quod erat demonstrandum
“what was to be demonstrated”
About as many people as would walk right by you if you were on fire and not bother to spit on you to put you out.
And that's a lot, trust me.
Is that a reasonable estimate?
Great prayer . . . when prayed in earnest, authentically.
There is nothing in the Religion Moderator’s rules about not posting Latin.
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-religion/1774184/posts
It’s written on the RM’s homepage too.
Honestly, I think the thread should be closed. It’s become a toxic thread but I’m not the mod.
What a way with words you have, Bro.
Working to get to the sorts of posts you think are more productive for the Kingdom. Some interesting UFO videos from this month . . . from city webcams around the world etc.
I doubt that the RM has not updated his homepage since he published that exhortation.
I think your plea to close the thread will be
No dice.
The tired old Rabid Clique RC tactic of making a thread toxic so they can close threads offensive to their sensibilities and idolatrous, blasphemous, heretical dogmas . . . is too well known now . . . and seen a million miles off.
Perhaps you can enlighten us . . . why is it that what . . . 97.8% of the personal attacks and toxic outrages come from the Rabid Clique RC’s???
Fascinating . . . what slow learners some RC’s can be! LOL
Perhaps The Lord will have to take over the lessons.
I want to go on record as supporting and appreciating the posting in both the original Latin and English. English is a limited language for expressing the Catholic Catechism, as evidenced by the vast number of non-Catholic and ex-Catholics who struggle with the meanings. Having the original Latin available is helpful and enlightening.
I wasn’t pleading to close the thread.
I just simply stated that I am not the mod and if I was I would close it. I think that it has fallen to personal attacks and I see no worth to it.
But then again, I am no longer in the mindset to set myself up to be belittled or “attacked” by the non-Catholic “Usual Suspects”. It just isn’t in my realm of reality anymore. I feel that if anyone, whether he/she agrees with my form of worship or not, is so in love with Our Lord that he/she feels a need to cut me down to show how good they are, go for it.
I’m just not setting myself up anymore. I believe that every FReeper has a good heart. I believe each believes that he/she is doing the right thing. I don’t care to present my beliefs on a platter for those others to swipe at.
And I don’t speak for any other Catholics on FR except, Net and Mil. Netmilsdad is the head of our house and I am obedient to him.
The opposite of love is not hate, it’s apathy. I personally don’t care about the nasty people anymore. With The Lord’s Love and saving power, I will see all of you in heaven. But some of you will be shocked to see me there.
Thank you.
Much appreciate your elaboration.
No problem and Merry Christmas my FRiend!
Perhaps the RM will enlighten you. Why would a Catholic send a Christian a post with Latin and prayers to saints - but to disrupt. Why the NEED for Latin?
Posting it to Catholics would be the right thing to do but then that wouldn’t be disruptive, would it?
A Catholic posted an exorcism post in Latin here to a Christian. Nice, right? How’s that for toxic!!
This isn’t the first thread they wanted closed. Whatever they think will work, they will try. Too much truth posted and that’s their response to it.
Don’t be so thin skinned - you see no potty in your posts only see what isn’t there in others posts for whine purposes only.
On the bandwagon to have this thread closed, also? CONTROL issues in play? Nothing new under the sun from the RCC crowd.
If I have a problem with those photos, I’ll let you know.
