Read the full pdf report. You evidently missed the significance.

On the other hand, don’t bother.

Just enjoy the consequences of the inevitable TYPE II ERRORS piling up for you.

Jean and Richard Seifried COMMENT ON CONFERENCE
Post by admin on Sep 15th, 2005, 12:19pm

Richard and Jean’s commentary on the 2003 Tri-Lakes UFO Conference in Missouri:

Although we did not attend the lectures we did have a table at the conference. That enabled us to converse with several of the speakers and to get attendees responses to the talks. In all there were fourteen lectures. A positive aspect of the meetings was that we were able to renew old acquaintances, such as Stanton Friedman. Leah Haley also had a vender’s table, adjacent to ours. Leah and her husband, Mark Davenport (not attending), are very dear friends, especially so due to the likeness of our UFO experiences.

One of the most successful and highly praised lectures, was presented by, John Greenwald, Jr. He is quite young, in his 20s and that fact encouraged us oldsters due to the fact that the younger generations do have some people who are excellent investigators and researchers of the UFO phenomena. John wrote the very successful book, Beyond UFO Secrecy. The book is based on The Black Vault, as it is called, John’s collection of documents on the Internet. Using the Freedom of Information Act, he has accumulated over 100,000 UFO related items. His talk was one of the highlights of the conference. We would highly recommend him as a speaker at other conferences.

Bruce Widaman, Director of Mutual UFO Network for Missouri was also a speaker. Bruce became famous because he was able to place an initiative to combat official government secrecy concerning UFOs, on the Missouri state ballot.

Darrel Sims closely guarded a very impressive case of ‘implants’ removed from people. The items were varied and quite fascinating. Visitors were able to get within a foot of the covered items and thus the educational value of his presence was greatly enhanced. Darrel is a full time UFO Researcher with specific interests in medical/scientific evidence (implants) of human / alien contact. He is a Certified Hypnotic Anesthesiologist and a Master Hypnotherapist. Among his many plusses, including intelligence and ability to lecture, Darrel is quite personable on a one-to-one basis.

Ted Philips also spoke. He is the founder of the Center For Physical Trace Research and is the recognized expert in physical evidence from UFO landing sites. Ted, as so few of us still alive did, worked with the eminent Dr. J. Allen Hynek, specifically concerning trace evidence research.

Quix...first, please don't take offense to someone questioning your post to me. I didn't respond (although I started to) because I'm not qualified to comment on any type of a disorder. My responses would be scriptural, based solely on the Word of God. And I'm sure your intention is to educate: Part of your response:

THE ODDS ARE HIGHLY THAT the person invovled has some significant degree of REACTIVE ATTACHMENT DISORDER from insufficient bonding/loving/healthy affection—particularly from Dad, the first 6-8 years of life.

While in your life experience, and from this post, I'm assuming you are in some capacity 'counseling' others, you may have found that to be true. However, people slip and people fall. Human beings, born again believers can fall as hard (if not harder) than a non-believer and that is what we are dealing with. An adult that has drifted toward false teachings. The reason for this remain known only to him and to God. That is, while you claim, and I agree, that the scripture "bring up a child...." has never failed, there are periods, short or long, when falling happens and it doesn't necessarily mean that the upbringing wasn't solid or that it is a diagnosable mental problem.

Let's look at the Prodigal Son, King David, or even Peter, who actually walked with our Lord, broke bread with Him and conversed with Him but still denied him. Did these great, faithful men have RAD? Were their parents...or in particular, their father, the reason because of improper bonding for the first 6-8 year old range? Doubtful...rather it was a spiritual failing and it was due to weaknesses that surfaced in each man's character: greed/lust/fear and all of us are susceptible to these weaknesses/temptations; and in our time, many influences and ideas are being thrown out there 24/7 and even mighty people of God can and do falter during a weak moment. For example, rough times come financially; a fight with a spouse, or just something that's being researched such as pornography and the spirit is already in a weakened condition, making the person an open vessel and susceptible to falling. (if that makes any sense....I'm sure my formal education is not equal with yours).

I maintain, that it is an entirely spiritual war and while RAD may be a formal diagnosis for some, it too is part of that war because the victim didn't have proper foundation. BTW, I do not dispute that severe mental conditions exist or are curable without a professional's help. But not all falling people (a.k.a. backsliding...been there many times myself) are from a dysfunctional background as you seemed to indicate.

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high placesEph: 6:12

The 'solution' is what is being sought here.. In a weakened moment the individual has allowed himself to be lured into false teachings. Bringing him back is of utmost concern.

If I've misunderstood your post, I apologize.

You said........”It’s mostly only the dyed-in-the-wool very stubborn skeptics and some religionists who are determined to wait until a UFO lands in their laps and castrates or probes them before they believe....”

This isn't about UFOS....more like UFO ALIEN CULTS such as “Heavens Gate” who seven of it's male members willingly castrated themselves months before they committed suicide.
That is what UFO Alien CULTS can and have led to.

The Starseed group has very strong “sexual” demands of purity and restraint as people move forward in it.... Richard Boylan dares to be their representative Guru? Who messed around with his patients and now could be going after children with his Indigo child nonsense.

Some of the member Starseed groups threaten penalties in “another realm” (hack hack)..if they don't comply in the earthly realm. They can frighten and mentally torture people. That is why is it called dangerous. And that is why Liberty mentioned aways back that it could very well be like someone leaving an abusive situation.

That was a very thoughtful and nicely worded response!

I messed around with that new age crap for nearly ten years. My brain finally regained traction on its own once I clearly saw that most of those people were just plain ignorant of the real world. UFO/ET stuff is still interesting to me, but I now view the channeling and other pseudo-spiritual "growth" aspects of those people to be really shallow. It started coming home to me when so many people asked me if I could feel the energy in quartz crystals. (No, they always felt like rocks.) All of the other silly aspects of the new age movement seemed to glare at me from that time on.

I don't know how you personally can go about bringing your family member back to reality. You will have to talk about this stuff without placing him on the defensive. I would work like that and then slowly and carefully expose the fallacies as they came up. I really caused havoc at the meeting where I asked the lady "physics expert" to resolve the force vectors and then followed up with questioning her physics "expertise". I surely got mixed reviews! That particular group dissolved shortly afer that episode, however.

You mentioned someone you know who is science minded. Perhaps you and he can join a meeting and then put some torpedoes under the water line yourself.

Keep your prayers outgoing, under the full Faith that God isn't fond of letting His children fall into harm.

Thanks for your kind reply.

Certainly even far greater than I have fallen as far as I have fallen at times in my life.

We don’t know particularly about ALL the details of parenting in the Bible. We do know that some great prophets etc. were evidently horrible parents.

I’m glad the focus is on a solution. Sometimes the solution is better and quicker arrived at if one knows the roots of the problem.

It STILL SOUNDS LIKE a very simplistic description is being given to the current state of affairs. And, it’s conceivable that you are right. I doubt it’s the only plausible explanation.

In any case, I’ve suggested other options that MIGHT be fruitful to prayerfully consider. That’s the most that I can reasonably do.

I do feel some obligation for all the lurkers to comment on such things according to the priorities I have learned about the hard way in terms of roots generating a variety of what is seen on the surface. Folks are certainly not under any obligation TO ME to take my suggestions or assumptions at anything more than my personal rantings or whatever as they see fit.

I’m pretty comfortable with the percentage of hits such rantings have tended to score over the decades.

I certainly am not out to offend anyone either. I’m interested in health and wholeness for all concerned. I don’t tend to soft-peddle things.

God’s best to you and all concerned.

MUST operate from a position of TRUTH.

It is not truth, that there are no critters involved in any UFO goings on.

INDEED.

I suppose, OW,

that had I a loved one caught up in such . . . I’d be inclined to do the following:

1. Contact prayer warrior and deliverance groups dedicated to such cults and ask for them to put my loved one on their list for intercession.

2. Pray about who in the loved one’s social network really knew God and were enough of a spiritual prayer warrior to join me in fasting and praying in any degree for X to XX days for my loved one.

3. In interactions . . . with the loved one, I might draw them out with one gentle but thought provoking question that appeared to be as much information seeking as thought provoking. I wouldn’t get into an indepth discussion. I’d mostly listen. I’d change the subject after about 20 seconds to 2 minutes of asking my gentle thought provoking question. I’d try to ask questions that were not easy to give glib answers to. I’d try to ask questions that Holy Spirit could use as thought-bombs that would detonate later when the person was alone.

4. I’d do my prayerful best at being at ease, serene, at peace, focused, gentle, lovingly attentive—REALLY TUNING INTO THAT PERSON etc. in such interactions.

5. One of the things I might introduce as gently as I could is the notion of what clues can the average person use to distinguish between authentic good and counterfeit good that’s really not good underneath.

6. I’d likely draw the person out in terms of what the IDEAS of the cult mean to him.

7. I’d also draw the person out in terms of what the RELATIONSHIPS in the cult mean to him vs other meaningful relationships in his life. On both scores, I’d 99% listen and repeat back to the person a summary of what I heard them saying—particularly emphasizing the FEELINGS I felt and heard them expressing. When they said I’d repharsed things wrong, I’d correct my phrasing until they said I had it just right.

8. Such ACTIVE LISTENING and UNDERSTANDING tends to be felt as LOVE. Love is incredibly powerful—even against cults.

9. TWO OF THE BIGGEST NEEDS THAT CULTS TEND TO FILL BETTER THAN PREVIOUS THINGS IN THE PERSON’S LIFE ARE:

A) LOVE

AND

B) A SENSE OF BELONGING—particularly BELONGING to a FAMILY FEELING GROUP as well as BELONGING TO SOMETHING BIGGER than one’s self.

10. I’d expect to spend weeks if not months doing the above without ever risking more than extremely gentle and subtle comments of my own—and that maybe only one about every 3-5th interaction. Holy Spirit, of course would be the best guide on that score as well as all others. And the comments would need to also be merely thought provoking comments—not emphatic, ‘you better believe this because’ kinds of comments.

That’s about it off the top of my head.

I realize this is more or less unsolicited.

I realize that some consider this from an unreliable and most questionable source.

Certainly mileage may vary and delete buttons or scroll buttons are very handy.

Quix you and I are not at all on the same page concerning the issue of Aliens or UFOS and for that matter an understanding of what this thread began as....and I don’t think either of us will have our minds changed one iotta from where we stand. I can certainly agree that we respectfully disagree on the ufo issues. You believe they are here and from another world and the aliens as well....I just cannot and this is just how it is. For both it seems to be a matter of belief and that is that.

I don’t know if they are here from other worlds or other dimensions.

I think Vallee is quite likely right—they are here from a

SPIRITUAL DIMENSION.

or parallel spiritual universe or some such.

It doesn’t matter.

THEY ARE IN LEAGUE WITH SATAN and the globalists. That’s plenty to know about them. That indicates which side they are on and what my response to them should be.

I think the ‘logical reasoning’ route is fraught with great hazards and futility, on the whole.

I have rarely to mostly never observed that folks get into cults for LOGICAL REASONS.

They do so out of FEELINGS.

Logical reasons are usually poor routes and poor tools to deal with fealings.

SOMETIMES that route can produce some good thought-provoking inputs and results. Very tricky business but worth trying, certainly.
