“It is liberals who base it all on feeeeeeeeeeelings. Grow up and learn the truth!”

Thats very harsh for someone who’se been whining about hatred and such. Much of Christianity is based on feeling. When it comes to faith and relationships, feelings are very important.

Most of what people do is based on feelings. We buy on emotion. We marry based on love. We make friends with people we feel good with. We buy clothes that make us feel good.

Even politics has a lot of feeling in it.

“Which to me points out the fallacy of the Catholic Church.”

Why? How do the failings of men challenge faith?

"Which to me points out the fallacy of the Catholic Church."

Protestantism has abolished the priesthood (Mt 18:18) and the sacrament of ordination, contrary to Christian Tradition and the Bible (Acts 6:6; Acts 14:22; 1 Tim 4:14; 2 Tim 1:6).

“Protestantism has abolished the priesthood (Mt 18:18) and the sacrament of ordination, “

False, people do not have the power to abolish the Word of God.

Nor can they add to it. Man made traditions are useful but are not of God.

Please fill me in about Clinton’s near death experience, first I’ve heard about it.

Also Mother Angelica said anyone that takes Holy Communion unworthily is committing spiritual suicide.

These are not dead people..

Rev 5:8

The Lamb came forward to take the scroll from the right hand of the One sitting on the throne,
and when he took it, the four living creatures prostrated themselves before him and with them the twenty-four elders; each one of them was holding a harp and had a golden bowl full of incense which are the prayers of the saints.

Rev 8 3-4
Another angel, who had a golden censer, came and stood at the altar. A large quantity of incense was given to him to offer with the prayers of all the saints on the golden altar that stood in front of the throne;
and so from the angel’s hand the smoke of the incense went up in the presence of God and with it the prayers of the saints

Dead People praying for those on earth.
Rev 6:9-10

9 When he broke the fifth seal, I saw underneath the altar the souls of all the people who had been killed on account of the Word of God, for witnessing to it.
10 They shouted in a loud voice, ‘Holy, true Master, how much longer will you wait before you pass sentence and take vengeance for our death on the inhabitants of the earth?’
11 Each of them was given a white robe, and they were told to be patient a little longer, until the roll was completed of their fellow-servants and brothers who were still to be killed as they had been.

Prayer is a request..not worship. We only worship God.

People who talked to angels in Scripture...Abraham Genesis 22:11, Lot Gen 19:1-2, Jacob Gen 32:26-29, Gideon Judges 6:11-13, St Zacharias St Luke 1:18, the Blessed Virgin St Luke 1:34,38, St. Mary Magdalen St John 20:10-14, St John the Evangelist (Apoc/Rev 7:13-14..to name a few. The bible forbids us to offer divine worship to angels..BUT NEVER CONDEMNS PEOPLE FOR JUST TALKING TO THEM.

Invocations of Angels:

Ps 103:20-21

Bless the Lord, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word. Bless ye the Lord, all ye his hosts: ye ministers of his that do his pleasure.

PS 148:1-2 Praise ye the LORD. Praise ye the LORD from the heavens: praise him in the heights. Praise ye him, all his angels, praise ye him, all his hosts.

Angels of God intercedes for us..Apoc/Rev 8:3-4. Psalm 91:11-12, Daniel 12:1, Matthew 18:10, Acts 12:5-11,5, Hebrews 1:14.

Saints in Heaven. Jesus says they are like the angels of God..St. Matthew 22:30. Like the holy angels, are our fellow citizens of the heavenly Jerusalem Hebrews 12:22. We are all One Body of Christ 1 Corinthians 10:17, 12:13, Esphesians 4:4. and everyone one members of one another Romans 12:5. The bible says Christians to pray for one another and for the world..Romans 15:30, Corinthians 1:11, Ephesians 6:1819; colossians 4:3; I Thessalonians 5:25; 2 Thess 1:11; Hebrews 13:18.

Back to Apoc 5:8...Prayers of the Saints—>christians in Heaven.

You have lied.

Accusing another Freeper of telling a lie is "making it personal" because it attributes the intent to deceive.

Words such as "false" "wrong" "error" "misleading" etc. are not "making it personal."

Discuss the issues all you want, but do not make it personal.

Sure Jesus is alive. Sure there are angels.

Other than Jesus a person who lived and died on earth isn’t capable if interceding on anyone’s behalf.

Scripture or Catholic doctrine?

Fair enough.

You use pretty universal language in your condemnation of Protestants as bigoted, and in justifying any Catholic attack on Protestantism due to bigotry. You castigate websites defending Protestantism against standard Catholic objections thereto as “bigoted websites”. Your initial response to OneVike cited “vile” statements as why FR Protestants deserve any attacks from Catholics.

What I am trying to figure out is whether you see Protestantism inherently bigoted or not ... are non-Catholic Christians necessarily bigoted anti-Catholics and thus necessarily deserving of the scathing attacks and rebukes you regularly dish out?

Protestants, by nature, disagree with Catholics about a great many things — over-emphasis of Mary, preceived deification of the Pope and the heirarchy, doctrinal infallibility, excessive use of symbolic ceremony, the necessity of confessional, general ostentatiousness, etc. Do you consider these objections bigotry? Are Protestants inherently bigots due to their fundamental objections to Catholicism, their failure to recognize any vatican authority, etc?

I am wondering why your attacks on Protestants are as scorched-earth as they are. I am neither sensitive about this, nor particularly bothered by it. It isn’t the first time my faith has been attacked or scrutinized, and it won’t be the last. My faith is strong enough to remain unshaken by anything I read on the internet. I’m honestly just curious as to whether you consider anti-Cathoic bigotry an inherent problem with Protestant doctrine, or simply an isolated problem among a group of Protestants.

Catholics don’t worship dead people either. Maybe it would help you if would invoke the Holy Spirit who is God for discernment of the Scriptures.
