Met with derision, sure. Met with facts, no.

*sigh*

Buncha chickens.

"Buncha chickens."

I don't think it is that simple. It isn't ignorance either. Nobody can stay that wrong that long unless it has a darker purpose.

That’s why I post the St. Michael prayer so often.

Written by John Allen.

What? That can't be. We've been told John Allen is a liberal wacko who hates the pope.

Oh, wait. That description was invoked when RCs disagreed with a few minor quibbles Allen had with Rome.

After all, Allen, the official biographer of Ratzinger and CNN correspondent to the Vatican, has to keep up the pretense of being "fair and balanced" so it helps his sagging credibility to weather a few RC complaints.

But now we are to believe what this "liberal wacko" writes. We are to believe that identifying pederast priests and handing them over to police authorities is equal to a "Nazi smear campaign."

And we are to believe that Pacelli was some kind of freedom fighter when he was a fascist Nazi appeaser. The encyclical tried to make nice with the Nazis. It didn't mention Hitler by name nor even National Socialism. It was a mild complaint to the Nazi authorities to be nicer to the Roman Catholic church (which had made a pact with the devil years before.)

No doubt we will now hear how beefy and resolved Pacelli's encyclical was. And that would be a lie.

The Vatican struggles daily to rewrite history; it knows no shame.

"What? That can't be. We've been told John Allen is a liberal wacko who hates the pope."

That just goes to show you the redemptive powers of Christ and His Church. It means there is even hope for you.

It is typical that you didn't actually read the article or you would have known that the introduction was written by Allen but the test was written by MASSIMO INTROVIGNE.

Read it. You might recognize your useful idiot status, but that would only be half right. Your continual overreaching on this makes you not particularly useful and actually strengthens the Church.

Now, now. Please don't poke the good Dr. E. The OPC has much greater concerns, such as bowing to the government of England who created the KJV and the Westminster Confession of Faith. I hear that in spite of declining membership, they have decided to hold their general meeting this year in England in order to declare their veneration of those who created their bible and Confession for them. I think that all their synod would fit comfortably in:

Richard J. Evans, “The Third Reich in Power.” (Penguin) also describes this. “Moral Panic” is a useful term.

Oh? I just read the Same thing in Richard J, Evans, “The Third Reign in Power.” Penguin edition. But you are right about one thing: Allen would love to be in charge of PR for the Vatican.

lol. I read the article, NL. Your presumptions, once again, fall flat.

You might recognize your useful idiot status

And once again we see that the Roman Catholic apologist can only sling mud and personal insults, thereby breaking the rules of the FR RF in absence of a sound defense of their faith.

As God wills.

I agree, the word "useful" was not appropriate.

Not much some RC apologists write is “useful.”

As God wills.

2 Peter 2: 1 1 There were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you, who will introduce destructive heresies and even deny the Master who ransomed them, bringing swift destruction on themselves. 2 Many will follow their licentious ways, and because of them the way of truth will be reviled. 3 In their greed they will exploit you with fabrications, but from of old their condemnation has not been idle and their destruction does not sleep. 4 2 3 For if God did not spare the angels when they sinned, but condemned them to the chains of Tartarus and handed them over to be kept for judgment; 5 4 and if he did not spare the ancient world, even though he preserved Noah, a herald of righteousness, together with seven others, when he brought a flood upon the godless world; 6 and if he condemned the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah (to destruction), reducing them to ashes, making them an example for the godless (people) of what is coming; 7 and if he rescued Lot, a righteous man oppressed by the licentious conduct of unprincipled people 8 (for day after day that righteous man living among them was tormented in his righteous soul at the lawless deeds that he saw and heard), 9 then the Lord knows how to rescue the devout from trial and to keep the unrighteous under punishment for the day of judgment, 10 5 and especially those who follow the flesh with its depraved desire and show contempt for lordship. 6 Bold and arrogant, they are not afraid to revile glorious beings, 11 7 whereas angels, despite their superior strength and power, do not bring a reviling judgment against them from the Lord.

12 But these people, like irrational animals born by nature for capture and destruction, revile things that they do not understand, and in their destruction they will also be destroyed, 13 suffering wrong 8 as payment for wrongdoing. Thinking daytime revelry a delight, they are stains and defilements as they revel in their deceits while carousing with you. 14 Their eyes are full of adultery and insatiable for sin. They seduce unstable people, and their hearts are trained in greed. Accursed children! 15 Abandoning the straight road, they have gone astray, following the road of Balaam, the son of Bosor, 9 who loved payment for wrongdoing, 16 but he received a rebuke for his own crime: a mute beast spoke with a human voice and restrained the prophet's madness. 17 These people are waterless springs and mists driven by a gale; for them the gloom of darkness has been reserved. 18 For, talking empty bombast, they seduce with licentious desires of the flesh those who have barely escaped 10 from people who live in error. 19 They promise them freedom, though they themselves are slaves of corruption, for a person is a slave of whatever overcomes him. 20 For if they, having escaped the defilements of the world through the knowledge of (our) Lord and savior Jesus Christ, again become entangled and overcome by them, their last condition is worse than their first. 21 For it would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness than after knowing it to turn back from the holy commandment handed down 11 to them. 22 12 What is expressed in the true proverb has happened to them, "The dog returns to its own vomit," and "A bathed sow returns to wallowing in the mire."

Follow the commandments of Jesus and reject those of the Reformation.

"Gibberish"

Nothing elfish about it. Crosier Envy, akin to Penis Envy, is a mental disorder among the lesser denominations in which, when they realize that their clergy lacks the stature and spiritual integtity of the Catholic Bishops, results in feelings of inferiority and psychic conflict. Illogical lashing out, defaming and confabulation are common symptoms. You got it bad.

Your Crosier Envy is showing again.

2 Timothy 4: 1 1 I charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and by his appearing and his kingly power: 2 proclaim the word; be persistent whether it is convenient or inconvenient; convince, reprimand, encourage through all patience and teaching. 3 For the time will come when people will not tolerate sound doctrine but, following their own desires and insatiable curiosity, 2 will accumulate teachers 4 and will stop listening to the truth and will be diverted to myths.

When will the self professed Christians (in name only) of this world stop listening to myths? The desires of the Reformation are leading people away from God and into the clutches of unscrupulous and greedy men. Turn on your television and watch the Benny Hinns and the Joel Osteens of this world. Disgusting.

2 Peter 3: 15 And consider the patience of our Lord as salvation, as our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given to him, also wrote to you, 16 speaking of these things 12 as he does in all his letters. In them there are some things hard to understand that the ignorant and unstable distort to their own destruction, just as they do the other scriptures. 17 Therefore, beloved, since you are forewarned, be on your guard not to be led into the error of the unprincipled and to fall from your own stability. 18 But grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory now and to the day of eternity. (Amen.)

With the Grace of God, we shall not fall into the same error as the Reformers did.
