Hey Quix! You can count me in as a Charismatic! Though I wish I was more useful.

You know it’s funny. I feel the same way about sitetest as he claims to feel about you. I say ‘claims’ because with him who can tell what is true?
He claims that he is writing civilly yet his post is so filled with hate that it is actually painful to read. He also claims he has no idea what you are talking about with regards to disruptors, yet here he is disrupting. Nothing he has posted at all adds to the topic thread discussion. And, most strangely, he chastises you for “pinging” him, when all you did was reply to a post he had written ABOUT YOU! All he has left to do is claim that you are “making it personal” simply by responding to his making this personal about you. lol.
You know, I’m no psychologist, but maybe he’s a paranoia. At least it seems so regarding the RCO. Anyway, I hope he doesn’t respond to this post as I don’t want him to “ping” me and I just wanted to discuss this with you.
I am of that number.

Whatever it's worth, I will take it as a compliment, and I appreciate all compliments from all sources.

Why not? According to the definition previously generated in the other thread, which is that one believes currently in the charismatic gifts of the Holy Spirit, including prophecy, tongues, healing, etc., I am.
I certainly believe in the charismatic gifts of the Holy Spirit, and believe that the Holy Spirit has been moving for some time now in the Church and in the ecclesial communities, and has renewed these gifts therein.
I have no problem in principle with the gifts of tongues, of public interpretation of tongues, of prophecy, of healing. I have personally participated in charismatic prayer groups in all these gifts. I've seen real miracles, and experienced a few in my life, myself.
As I said in the other post, the Catholic Church has recognized as valid the Charismatic Renewal in the Catholic Church since the pontificate of Pope Paul VI. Who am I to argue?
I haven't been to a prayer meeting in many years, but there is nothing in principle that I repudiate or renounce of my years in the renewal.
That's not to say that I haven't seen abuses, that I haven't seen unstable people claim things that just don't seem so. Another gift of the Holy Spirit is discernment, and it's important to use it.

Was going to try and go there but that looks a long way off at present.
