My point is that as long as it is not known, the transgression is between the sinner and God. Moreover, as long as a homosexual pastor, priest or whatever teaches and that marriage is a union of a man and a woman and that homosexual ACTS are sinful, I don’t care if he/she is otherwise defective.

Understandable, but then, right up until many clergy molested children their problems were between them and God. I contend that they should have removed themselves long before thoughts turned to acts, or should never have been ordained to begin with. Scripture has quite a bit of teaching on the thought life of Christians. We ignore it at our peril. Teachers of God's word are held to a higher standard because in some respects they ignore it at our peril.

People do not choose to be homosexual. They are born with the defect. But above all else they are God’s children, too.

Being homosexual cannot be a sin, because that’s how they came into the world. IMHO it is the homosexual act that is the sin.

I take your point about homesexual clergy and the mischief they can create. On the other hand I once traveled with two homosexual adults for two weeks. We slept a number of nights in a VW bus. Very tight. I was about 15 at the time. Neither of those guys did did anything untoward to me or with each other. We had a great time.

Homosexuals are not predestined predators any more than hetero males are predestined to abuse little girls. Hetero- sexual predators who prey on little girls and Homosexuals who prey on little boys are a whole different destructively deviant subset. You cannot comdemn homosexuals as a group without comdemning hetero males as a group for essentially committing the same depravity.

One of my best boyhood friends was homosexual. Can you imagine what it must have been like for him in an all boys orphanage we attended from 6-18 yrs old. Boys can be brutal in this kind of situation. The assaults on Lenny were both verbal and physical. One day in my early teens something clicked in my head and I determined that enough was enough. Couldn’t do an awful lot about the verbal stuff. But anybody that got physical or wanted to attack Lenny had to deal with me. Surprisingly, by the time we were Juniors in HS Lenny became simply another classmate and the abuse stopped. I expect the maturation process had a lot to do with that.

In your opinion, should I feel guilty for protecting my friend? Or did I do the Christian thing?

I understand your discomfiture with the Gay Pride crowd. I abhor it as well. But the fact is, most homosexuals don’t like the negative attention these people propagate. Most of them understand they are “different” and just want to make their way through life.

If they’re respectful, productive and caring people who am I to judge them for how they were born? If they choose a same sex partner that is between them and God.

I don’t accept that premise. Possibly for some, but not for most of them. I see it as just another lifestyle they “experiment” with”

The culture for male ones, is to seek out young, buff, late teen boys.

With all of the negatives, even today, that go along with homosexuality why would anyone choose to be one?

As for your second point about predatory behavior my own experience does not support your view. However, I’m gonna do a little research. Perhaps there is some statistical data out there that would be helpful.
