RELIGIOUS

The enemies of the Gospel are of the devil (Satan):

1 John 3:8 (NIV) He who does what is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil's work.

You could even call them The Children of the Devil:

John 8:42 (NIV) Jesus said to them, "If God were your Father, you would love me, for I came from God and now am here. I have not come on my own; but he sent me.

They exist in the church:

Mark 1:23 (NIV) Just then a man in their synagogue who was possessed by an evil spirit cried out,

These are the self righteous RELIGIOUS ones. In Jesus day they were known as Pharisees. These are the weeds. Both weeds and wheat are in the church:

Matthew 13:25 (NIV) But while everyone was sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, and went away.

Revelation 17:4-5 (NIV) The woman was dressed in purple and scarlet, and was glittering with gold, precious stones and pearls. She held a golden cup in her hand, filled with abominable things and the filth of her adulteries. This title was written on her forehead: MYSTERY BABYLON THE GREAT THE MOTHER OF PROSTITUTES AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.

I used to believe this was some coming new age religion. Now I believe it is the self righteous “Christian” RELIGIOUS system.

Babylon can be taken to be many things.

Have long believed it was New York City (lesser possibilities being London and HK).

The fellow on C2C AM the other night convincingly reached the same conclusion from Scripture with a list of Biblical features of the city Babylon in prophecy.

Maybe I’ll get around to transcribing key parts of that broadcast.

I feel Babylon in Revelation has two senses. The world Babylon system and religious Babylon.

Also possibly a literal Babylon coming to Iraq.

Have thought that there is some likely truth to the NWO building a new capital in Babylon, Iraq.

Why do we have the largest, most secure new embassy in the world in Iraq? What’s the point if Iraq is a temporary thing?

Nevertheless, the fellow was quite convincing with his list of items from Scripture identifying the Biblical prophetic Babylon = New York City.

On thought I am moving away from is Rome. The seven hills do mean Rome. This has been used too much by some protestants to bash the Roman Catholic Church. What if it is all Christian religious institutional systems including Protestants.

I am not saying not to go to church! It is just that they are full of weeds and wheat. Weed control is a big problem in the church today. Some “churches” are only weeds.

I agree. I just returned from a trip to Israel, and I tell ya, those I spoke to are not counting themselves out. They know what the Scriptures say, and that they are the focal point during the end of days events.

It seems that some Christians do not realize that the Hebrew Scriptures are the same as our "Old Testament" ones. The Scripture is VERY clear regarding Israel and there is no replacement.

It is also silly when Christians demand that Jews "convert." This is so ridiculous. When an Israelite comes to see and know (through the Holy Spirit enlightening their eyes, removing the veil) that Yahshua (Jesus) is their promised Savior (Messiah ben Yoseph), they are complete...having both pieces of the mystery. The Holy Scriptures (the Torah) is the written word, and Messiah Yahshua is the living word. When a person has both of them, then they are complete.

Once Christians embrace our Hebrew roots and embrace the Torah, then we will have a veil removed from our eyes and have both pieces of the mystery as well. This is what is making us into one new man, neither male or female, neither Jew or Greek, neither slave or free.

I MUCH agree.

Some of the most saintly, walking close to God folks I know do not attend church. They still fellowship with other believers . . . just not in an organized church setting.

Then there’s the music volume problem in many—chasing many folks away.
