I've been trying to understand the time line of these events. I've always thought that the 2 witnesses were preaching in front of the rebuilt Temple, but if they preach for 3 1/2 yrs and their deaths are halfway through the 7 yr tribulation when did the Temple get built?
As best I can figure the 1st war of Gog and Magog precedes the appearance of the Antichrist. God miraculously defeats Gog and Magog and the Antichrist emerges making a treaty with Israel. I've always thought this is the starting of the time line. It is at this point I thought the Temple gets rebuilt, but for it to be done it will take at least a couple years.
Your thoughts are appreciated.
BTW, great post!
I think you are right, but don't forget the great falling away (Matt. 24:9-12) occurs before the lawless one appears. I think you are right because the one restraining the lawless one is removed and then he appears (2Thes.2:7).
I understand that restraining one to be the Holy Spirit. I think it makes sense that when the Holy Spirit departs we go with Him.
True. Since we don't know how far the GFA will go, one could make the argument that it is at the very least underway. Homosexual clergy. Abortion-friendly churches. Churches you can attend for months and never hear a call to salvation.

Can you ping the Catholic Freepers to answer the question of Rapture and the interpertation/teachings from that view?
Also any Catholics who can give a simplistic view on this subject, if that is possible.
I would appreciate it very much. THanks
Your Last line: I Love God.
LOL as the old Bill Cosby routine goes I will fix that.
Note to God, I Love You.
There fixed so now you are in rapture mode.
: )
Any Catholics that believe in the rapture are more than welcome to join the Rapture Caucus.
This is a good time to put this note in here once again, as we did at the beginning. And it combines several other posts, too.
It's what the Rapture Caucus is about, so that we all keep on track. I know you and others already know this, but sometimes people come into this later in the game and so miss the beginning stuff. So here it is again...
The Religion Moderator's home page ...
Types of threads and guidelines pertaining to the Religion Forum:
[Threads listed are "Prayer", "Devotional", "Caucus" and "Ecumenical"; included here is the "Caucus" definition.]
Caucus threads are closed to any poster who is not a member of the caucus.
For instance, if it says Catholic Caucus and you are not Catholic, do not post to the thread. However, if the poster of the caucus invites you, I will not boot you from the thread.
The caucus article and posts must not compare beliefs or speak in behalf of a belief outside the caucus.
Who can post? Members of the caucus and those specifically invited
What can be posted? Anything but the beliefs of those who are not members of the caucus
What will be pulled? Reply posts mentioning the beliefs of those who are not members of the caucus. If the article is inappropriate for a caucus, the tag will be changed to open.
Who will be booted? Repeat offenders.
Now, back to my own comments...
Some FReepers may have gotten jumped on (in other threads) for posting their belief in the Rapture, from what the Bible says. But -- here -- we're in support of the Rapture.
You are a member of this RAPTURE CAUCUS if you are in support of the Biblical Doctrine of the Rapture, as a separate event from the Second Coming of Jesus Christ (which is to establish the Kingdom on earth). This is defined per Post #78 (the Religion Moderator) and Post #79 (my affirmation of the same), which says we are talking about a Pre-Trib, Mid-Trib and Pre-Wrath Rapture, and not a Post-Trib Rapture (which happens at the same time as the return of Jesus Christ to the earth, i.e., His Second Coming).
Those who await the Rapture, are looking for that "Blessed Hope", Jesus Christ coming in the clouds, for His Bride, the Church.
So, feel free to join in the discussion -- in support of the Rapture -- as we talk about what information you have from the Bible, seminaries, church, pastors, books, friends and so on.
We can discuss the pertinent Bible verses, who are the pastors and/or churches who support it, what books are good to read, what is the purpose of the Rapture, the reason you find some compelling, or whatever else may be enlightening and helpful to the rest of us, in regards to edifying, exhorting and comforting one another, in support of the Biblical Doctrine of the Rapture.
Also, another "given" here is the Inspiration of Scripture from God, an inerrant and infallible Word from Him. Please refer to the "Chicago Statement on Biblical Inerrancy" for a fuller explation of it. Although we can discuss what other pastors, preachers, teachers, churches, people, etc. explanations are, it all does come back to the final authority of the Word of God and not writers, pastors, theologians, churches or any other temporal entity (although we do use those for some help and understanding, just not the final authority on the matter). Remember, all these others are also appealing to the Word of God, in their explanations and understandings.

I, too, would be interested in hearing any Catholic supporting the Doctrine of the Rapture, as we discuss the Pre-Trib, Mid-Trib and Pre-Wrath views of that here.
It would be especially englightening to find out how they have come to their Rapture viewpoint/understanding of what the Bible says.
The only thing we ask is to keep the posts in support of this and not discussing any "anti-doctrines" in regards to the Rapture, that's all... :-)
And thank you ahead of time...
See Post #349 for a Rapture Caucus thread explanation.
Please keep me on the ping list.
We all must come to the word of God and be transformed by confession, repentance, surrender and transformation ... there is no excuse to not see and know the power and authority of God. If we do not come to Jesus we are without hope in this world and the next world too.
I am new (Back too) my Catholic faith in the last 5 years or so.
I don’t remember covering anything about the rapture in Adult Catechism.
I have in the past read all the Lindsey like books;tv preachers;attended a Baptist church before returning to my Catholic faith.
My personal belief (not based on any theology) is that every time someone dies the rapture happens.
Seeing how I got 3 pings that about Rel. thread rules on this on thread I am going to assume their has been issues with Catholic teachings and the subject of rapture threads.
So my ping to Catholics was not appropriate.

Well..., don't get those posts wrong. It's been about 350 posts down, and six months later -- since the beginning and the mention of what a "Caucus" is about, and how it pertains to the Rapture, as in Pre-Trib, Mid-Trib and Pre-Wrath.
So, no..., that's not an indication of excluding any other church and/or group and/or belief -- as long as we're talking about the Rapture and are giving support to it... :-)
I would personally be quite enthused to see Catholics giving their support and reasons for that support for the Rapture. That would be great!
So, please, do invite Catholics who feel that they can participate in that framework (or anyone else for that matter...)
So my ping to Catholics was not appropriate.
Not at all... :-)
It's not that anyone or group is excluded -- but rather -- we all are in support of the Pre-Trib, Mid-Trib and Pre-Wrath Rapture.
So..., please feel to invite all who can participate in those.
To lighten things up a bit, Have any of you who believe in the rapture ever had trouble locating a brother or sister in Christ and wondered if the rapture happened and you were left behind?
Thanks for includng me.
I’m a pre-wrather myself. I have Rosenthal’s book and he came to our church for a conference years ago. But, since none of us can be 100% sure, I just pray we’re ready when it happens, whenever it happens.
I loved the books, but you had to wait a year until the next one came out. How boring that was. I got most of them but I did lose interest.
I used to be pre wrath rapture also. How is the concept catching on? I have not kept up with it for many years. I remember the big splash when Rosenthalâs book came out.
I have no idea. We did a really good series in our Sunday School for a semester, taught by a young man who had been studying it for 20 or so years and I’ll have to try and find my notes to see what he came up with. It was a very interesting class.
