Don't lose heart, joesbucks. God isn't a short-order cook. When He fixes something, He does not do it according to our prescription, but His own, which far exceeds our ability to execute or even to imagine.
It may be that our Christian culture must be totally eclipsed before people return to it. Most adolescents rebel against their parents' teachings, but when they have children, most return. Among nations, ours is still young.

yes—i agree with all that you wrote and had even considered “the fall” before i wrote my post on the Progressive Education Movement... however, i was aiming to be more specific in pinpointing the downfall of our nation... and in my opinion, it began somewhere in the 1880s... now i know other things before that led to the point in time in the 1880s when good Americans handed over our most precious resource to the controls of the government...

True. Also to the point of this election, I have a black friend in her 70s who told me she has never had any overt problem of racial discrimination except once, in the 70s, involving a white man in her home town, a Vietnam vet, who opened his bowling alley to blacks — when she and her friends went there, white vigilantes turned them away, and eventually drove the bowling alley man out of business. Other than that, she claims Christ's blessings every day of her life, in spite of her relative material poverty due to having been widowed. She is one of my closest friends, and we have prayed together throughout this election season. For all I know, she voted for Obama, and if she did, I understand and cannot hold it against her. It's the deluded privileged classes who have mystified me; again, God is in control.

This had to happen for His prophesy to come true. I was so blessed to have almost died and saw what Jesus can do. Now I fear no man. I will fight until God wants me to leave this earth.
Please reconsider speaking your fears into concrete form. It gives them power. Speak of God’s eventual justice for all wrong-doing.
Those will be the words on Obama’s political epitaph. I have been aggressively needling those in work who voted for this turkey and giving them reality checks with economics and history. They get PO’d but I don’t care. I have been telling them how quick things will switch back once their Messiah crashs & burns. He will fail catastrophically.
A person who believed in an all knowing and omnipotent God wouldn't worry about or question that IMO. But I could be wrong.

It's understandable that there is momentary disappointment. But true Christians will not let this election result turn into an obsession with negativity. They will have faith in God's plan to work through this situation. Notice that by the time Reagan died, he who had been terribly slimed and vilified by the left was recognized as one of our great presidents. And also notice that the left's darlings, the Clintons, have lived to see themselves eclipsed in public opinion. Sometimes it takes people some hard experiences before they wake up.
