Quit being so personal and nasty. It doesn’t become you.

She offered a contrast to Catholicism. The Catholic Church is filled with the Holy Spirit.

I've spent considerable time in 'spirit filled' churches...I disagree with some of the things they teach...But I'm satisfied they teach their members how to get biblically saved...

If you had ever been to a Pentecostal church, you'd know why they are referred to as 'spirit filled'...

Don't take it so personal...

I assume there are some Spirit filled people in the Catholic churches but to say the Catholic church is Spirit filled is not biblical...So I don't believe it...

No. The Church established and protected from error by Jesus Christ relies on the Holy Spirit to continually guide it and keep it free from error, as opposed to continually fragmenting and increasingly heretical protestantism.

I'm not taking it personally, I'm objecting to the insinuation of exclusivity.

...to say the Catholic Church is Spirit filled is not biblical...

According to your own personal interpretation of Scripture.

You said: ...to say the Catholic church is Spirit filled is not biblical...

Bibliolatry will lead you to that error.

"Sola fide is scriptural error."

Well, I guess one of these guys got in on a "scriptural error":

And one of the malefactors which were hanged railed on him, saying, If thou be Christ, save thyself and us.

But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation?

And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss.

And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom.

And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.

Luke 23:39-43

By his own admission, he deserved crucifixion.

Yet, by faith, he found salvation.

***I already have salvation and will end up with God in Heaven. Hope to see you there, too, Mark.***

You are a much kinder and gentler person than I am and as such, you possess certain Christian behaviours in greater amounts than I do. But not even the Apostles knew of their salvation. They had faith and they hoped, but they did not know.

God gave men and women the gift of teaching and many other diverse gifts. Christians have the power (if they would only use it) to do greater things than Christ did, according to scripture. The apostles are dead. We are alive!

He performed many works in that conversation. He accepted Christ; he attempted to save another (the other thief), he preached the Gospel.

Oh, and by the way, if Christ Himself wants to save someone, no legalism YOU can concoct could stop Him.

KJV is defective in some ways, but better than most modern alternatives.

You didn’t know it because it isn’t true. Congratulations, you’ve learned another falsehood.
