I don’t know what you just said but you did it with such a flair of Flamenco, with a Samba twist.. and a Mariachi beat and meter.. DO IT AGAIN....

From His own Word, sounds like the God of Christianity hates evil and condemns wicked people to hell.Personally I think the question is way too big for me, but the issue, I think, is not does God condemn evil and condemn people who persist in it to hell (don't for get Dante -- the most popular book of the Comedy is the Inferno), but does He "set people up" to persist in evil and therefor to "merit" hell.

In sum, if a Christian misses the Spiritual Truth of John 6 that we are really and truly to hunger for Jesus Christ and be filled of Him that He is not physical food and drink but Spiritual food and drink that His words are the filling, that He is speaking of spirit and not flesh - that His words are spirit and life then he will miss the treasure in John 6, all of his diligence to observe the Eucharist or the Lord's Supper or Shabbat notwithstanding. AMEN! AG. Great post. Thanks for the ping and all the wonderful scripture. It really IS all about the spiritual and not the physical.

Kojac.
Now THAT was a great show. One episode was the most Euripedean thing I've read since Euripides. A cop's wife is driven mad by her own instability and her husbands repeated infidelities. Read the Medea and then somehow find that show and watch it. Prepare to have your brain turned to mush and pour out your ears. It was like King Lear. 4 hours later you realize your mouth is dry because your jaw has been hanging down around your knees.
Some TV is truly great.

What if the physical IS the spiritual? "It is raised a spiritual body ..."

The Old Testament is predicated on the physical, and the insufficiency of the physical. The New Testament is predicated on the spiritual, and the sufficiency of the gift of the Holy Spirit to renew our minds and cleanse our lives in order for us to spiritually-discern that we are now spiritual beings who have been spiritually saved by Jesus Christ. AMEN and well put, Dr. E. :) The OT taught us what never would or could work. The NT spelled out the only solution. I find it ironic that those who seem to have little use for the OT apparently cling to perceived OT salvation ideas being physical ahead of the spiritual.

The concept of "free will" is a man-centered bogus term How would not make our choices and choosing an illusion? And if something so basic to our common experience is an illusion, how can any knowledge be trusted?

In Dante’s trilogy, as in Orthodox theology, each chooses and gets what he chose.

Indeed, no one can know what's in the mind of the priest. Thank you so much for sharing your insights, dear brother in Christ!

Jeepers. Thank you so much for sharing your testimony!
The Lord's Supper doesn't kill, and it doesn't save. It is a sign and seal of Christ's promise regarding His completed work on the cross. The only thing that saves is Christ's righteousness via His sacrifice at Calvary imputed to the fallen sinner by the will and purpose of God alone for His glory.
Indeed. The blood of the Lamb is altogether sufficient. To God be the glory!

Hmmm ... very interesting. Thank you for sharing that information!

Thank you oh so very much for beautiful post and encouragements, dearest sister in Christ! Truly, we Christians have God's blessed assaurance:
For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38-39
To God be the glory!

Thank you so much for sharing your insights, dear brother in Christ! Truly, a Spiritual man is a child before God.

(I forgot the Scripture for my reply. Sorry about that.)
Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein. - Mark 10:15

Indeed, it is "about" the Spiritual! Thank you so very much for your encouragements, dear brother in Christ!
