Hm, your sense of superiority or 2000 plus years of doctrine, theology and faith? I will remain a Roman Catholic. You might stop to remember that it is protestants that protested the Church and left. Not the other way around.

Determining just who is the apostate or heretic is not hard in my mind. Oh and I do believe that you enjoy calling Catholics and Mormons names. For the record. I do believe that.

How about the Roman Catholic faith that left 4000 years of Scripture in the dust and wandered off with its own man made traditions? Sorry, but God has been around longer than the Church, and has often had to discard an apostasy for a new branch. I know your preconceptions cannot allow you to see this, I just hope it is not pride, and that God will allow this scale to fall from your eyes.

>Determining just who is the apostate or heretic is not hard in my mind. Oh and I do believe that you enjoy calling Catholics and Mormons names. For the record. I do believe that.

I am sorry that you feel that way. I do at times sin, and get all prideful and show anger on this forum, and I can admit this, and when it is pointed out to me, I do repent, and have actually apologized several times here. (Perhaps you read more pride into my posts because I am saying you are wrong? Perhaps this is your pride raising its own head?)

I have been called a liar, a hateful person, and worse. I was even called an ANTI-Catholic a few times by Anti-Protestants! Yeah, I do this for the thrill of being called hateful names and being able to gloat that I am right. Because I do that so much. Like everywhere. See, my tag line always all about me. I have a big T shirt with a big picture of me. It has to be big because my head is so big. You should see the head-hole!

I would not want to just argue with people for no reason, nor have feelings hurt. That would be for PRIDE, not for God. You will notice that those denominations which ARE scriptural I do not have anything to say about with the same vigor. That is because they follow the word of God. I am a BAPTIST, and have no problem with any of the other non-Baptist Protestant Freepers here. Why is that? Because they have the truth of the Gospel, and I would be happy to attend any of their churches, though there are many minor points that we disagree on, I would gladly call them my Christian brothers and sisters.

I do not have the pride to suggest that the Baptist church has all the answers, (rather there are many on the freewill and Arminian side that are just as apostate as the Catholics. When I see that, I call it apostasy to their faces. As I do to Rick Warren, Joel Ostein, and any of the Prosperity heretics out there.) It has many problems, including the breaking into many fragments and not working together. This is a problem throughout the Church, and a lot of that IS pride.

I truly wish the Catholic church would repent of its many idolatries and non-scriptural traditions, but all I can do is point them out. If I become emotional it is because many in the Catholic faith will go to hell, and that breaks my heart.

If you call that being hateful and prideful, then just ignore me, because otherwise you are helping me sin and just feeding your own pride and making yourself angry.

First, I never said I was angry, merely frustrated that every single Catholic related article on this forum comes under attack. I never go and post on any article not related to my own faith.

Second, I think you think you know more about Catholicism then you actually do. Scripture is interwoven into everything we do. Even the Rosary. As for idolatry, in whose eyes? Yours? What makes you think that you can tell what is idolatry and what is not? You have no understanding of Catholic practice, you only think you do.

Lastly, as for Catholics going to Hell, some or all, is not a matter for you to decide. It's up to God.

I do hope you have a nice day and a lovely Easter Season.

I understand your frustration. There are more articles pointing out the shortcomings of the Catholic church in particular on this forum than any other contra-faith articles. And as you like to keep your head down and not engage in any contra-faith postings, you must feel abused. There are two causes for this. One, Catholicism being the largest denomination of those that claim the mantle of Christianity in the US, and two, its (to you, unjustly claimed) contrary stance to the Scripture and the Gospel.

Well, I already said it is not charitable to allow people to march peacefully to hell, and not say or do something. If you choose to do so, I am sorry, but you are not showing a self-sacrificing and neighbor-loving Christian spirit in this. The ultimate love is to DIE for your fellow man, which is why Martyrdom is revered. It is not because of the sacrifice, but the reason for it- to save the souls of those that persecute you so that they will go to the Father. If you will not even allow yourself to be in an uncomfortable situation for your unregenerate brother, you, IF you are a Christian, need a wake up call. That is the purpose of the article in the first place. He NEEDS to know Jesus or he will burn for all eternity. Sacrifice your comfort! Jesus sacrificed His LIFE! Pick up your cross.

Actually I come from a Catholic family. The reason I did not come back to the Catholic faith is because I can read plainly the apostasy of the Catholic faith. I will not listen to the “Well, it looks like that in the Scripture, but you must understand” equivocations that stand as apologetics from the CC. And, as I come from that background, I guess I feel the most responsible for getting people out of it.

What makes me a judge of the Catholic practices? Where it is so glaringly obvious that something is wrong that even a child point it out, hey, it does not take a huge authority structure and a ton of canon law books to be able to judge. And when you listen to the CC and cannot see what is so plain, you are either just so prideful you cannot admit that what you are a part of is wrong, or your presuppositions are scales on your eyes.

>Lastly, as for Catholics going to Hell, some or all, is not a matter for you to decide. It’s up to God.

Thank God you are right. And thank God that I am sure that there are some in the CC that are saved, but that is despite the teachings of the CC, not because of them. I am just jumping up and down pointing to the cliff, I do not allow it, or cause the fall, that IS God and His holy and wrathful judgement.

>I do hope you have a nice day and a lovely Easter Season.

I hope you do also. I pray that you set aside your church for the true one, and find the Gospel and become reborn in Christ Jesus!

Thanks much for the ping, MD. Great article. I've never been called out like this guy, but I have been made to feel uncomfortable at work for speaking of Godly things.
