Where in that quote (or any other) does Young teach that salvation is gained through any means but by Christ?

No man or woman in this dispensation will ever enter into the celestial kingdom of God without the consent of Joseph Smith...every man and woman must have the certificate of Joseph Smith, junior, as a passport to their entrance into the mansion where God and Christ are...

While salvation is defined as being saved from the consequences of sin, it is likewise understood to be that means by which we return to the presence of Jesus. The Master says to the thief on the Cross he will be with Him (Christ) in paradise. On the contrary, that part of salvation (returning to Christ's presence) according to Young only comes with a certificate from Joseph Smith. Young is very much a "Christ Plus" teacher. He is saying you need "Christ" plus Joseph Smith.

Nitpicking? You give credence to scripture as the ‘wisdom of the prophets’ - who you follow - a prophet. And when told it is the Inspired Word of God - and YOU CALL IT NITPICKING? You say that scripture came from the wisdom of a prophet? Do you have a problem with God? It’s always a prophet for you - what deception!

Lev 19:28 is the God-inspired Word given to Moses.

I haven't had time to follow the whole thread, but my point is that if they believe Young a prophet, they should extend the same courtesy they extend an O.T. prophet--admit that not everything out of his mouth was doctrine.

The Pearl of Great Price scholarship would seem to be so difficult to defend that it would seem that the most soul-healing they could engage in would be to say, "heah, there has been some great fruit that has come out of this movement, but let's start repudiating all this nutty theology and start defending what we can defend."

As far as I am concern a few of you have pass the line of decency!

AS a LDS I can not continue to talk to those who harbor such hateful, ruthless thoughts I can over look those who don’t understand and are moved by disimformation because they know not.

The LDS are not the SOP and more than the Lord would not consider the Mainstream as such either, and when you go to that length than I have no more desire to converse with minds like yours!
