Just because you mean well doesn’t mean that you are thinking Christian thoughts. That’s why Jesus left us the Bible, and why the Catholic Church is so evil.

See, anybody can post hatred. Anybody can lie, anybody can confuse their own adgenda for piety.

I ask you, quit posting you OPINION as truth.

“”Churches, however divinely inspired, are still human institutions, and so susceptible to sin””

If you believe this to be the teaching of the Catholic Church than you are in grave error

Do you believe the Catholic Church is a human institution and has taught dogmatic error? If so, you don’t belong receiving Him in Eucharistic

The "gift" is Christ on the cross, the "Lamb slain from the foundation of the world." Non-refundable. Non-returnable. Personally-inscribed. Indelible. One gift to pay completely for all the sins of His flock (Hebrews 10:10.)

AMEN, Dr. E.! And thanks for the spot on scripture. This dovetails with their idea that our inheritance can be lost or thrown away. I don't see that in scriptures:

Rom 8:16-17 : 16 The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children. 17 Now if we are children, then we are heirs — heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.

Gal 3:29 : 29 If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

So, if we are children then we are heirs. I don't see anything about becoming an unchild or an unheir. :)

There is only One "one-size-fits-all" (though that's a clumsy way to say it in this context): Our Lord Jesus Christ, in Whom we live and move and have our being. Put your faith and trust in Him alone -- not in your or my or some other person's moral, finite judgment -- then leave the rest to Him.

Well and truly said, dearest sister in Christ!

Thank you so much for sharing your insights!

Thank you so very much for sharing your insights, dear brother in Christ!

To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out. And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice. And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers. – John 10:3-5

My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: - John 10:27

Thank you for all of your encouragements, dear sister in Christ!

Of a Truth, the best we can is to convey the words of God. If a person has "ears to hear" he will.

For my thoughts [are] not your thoughts, neither [are] your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For [as] the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper [in the thing] whereto I sent it. – Isaiah 55:8-11

To God be the glory!

Both knew who he was so they must have had some knowledge of the scriptures to know him as “Lord” his “kingdom” and “Son of God” and his message.

The term "Lord" does not exclusively mean God in the Bible. The Son of God is a title given to angels and kings. It does not have the Christian meaning.

The thief on the cross could have been pulling Pascal's wager, since he had nothing to lose.

Jesus did not go to paradise on that day, and what would he do in paadise?

This is also contrary to Luke's obvious belief in Hades/Sheol (Luke 16:19-31), rather than paradise. Then seven chapters later he believes in paradise!? And he is telling us that God went to paradise on that day? Yet they alos tell us Christ didn't even resurrect for three days.

Yet you accuse others of having ESP.

No, they claim it. I don't claim ESP, divine or any other kind. My statement was based on how the NT presents Jesus, not on some divine instant messaging from above. I am not making any claims as to the veracity of any of that. I am simply stating what's in the biblical books.

Is it important that every "i" is dotted and every "t" crossed?

I don't know. It is easy to see that they are not. Truth doe snot need harmonizing. The Church does two things: it leads us in prayer in liturgy and it tells us what the Gospels say about Christ's own life, so that we may imitate Him.

That's all that matters: worship Father, Son and Holy Spirit, accoridng to our faith once delievered, and imitate Christ.

Assuming for the moment that you are trying to live such a life, then it appears to me that what is influencing you is not the HS but rather a demon.

As I have said before, it is a very great blessing indeed to be falsely accused for Christ's sake.

Blessed are ye, when [men] shall revile you, and persecute [you], and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great [is] your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you. - Matthew 5:11-12

I love God - Father, Son and Spirit. I have known Him for a half century. I believe Him and I trust Him.

He is not a hypothesis. He is not a demon.

For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. – Romans 8:38-39

My Father, which gave [them] me, is greater than all; and no [man] is able to pluck [them] out of my Father's hand. – John 10:29

For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day. – 2 Timothy 1:12

Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. – Philippians 4:7-8

So please understanding there is nothing you can say or do that would make me stop loving God or trusting Him - or that would separate me from Him in any way.

We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error. - I John 4:6

To God be the glory!

We are finite and God is infinite. How can a human have a personal relationship with the infinite?

That is the failure of all religions, save for Christianity. Because Christ took on also human nature, we can relate to Him in that way. Without Him, God is simply a distant and unimaginable entity.

Thank you so much for your beautiful essay-post, dearest sister-in-Christ!

Unless you mean to say that The Church itself is God, displacing God Himself.

That is precisely the effect of the one addressed to me and the one following addressed to you.

Jesus Christ alone is the Way, the Truth and the Life. He alone is the Mediator between men and God.

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. - John 14:6

For [there is] one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; - I Timothy 2:5

The Blood of the Lamb is altogether sufficient.

For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified. [Whereof] the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before, This [is] the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more. Now where remission of these [is, there is] no more offering for sin. – Hebrews 10:14-18

Others may wish to embrace them, but personally I eschew all of the doctrines and traditions of men across the board.

Then the Pharisees and scribes asked him, Why walk not thy disciples according to the tradition of the elders, but eat bread with unwashen hands?

He answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth me with [their] lips, but their heart is far from me. Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching [for] doctrines the commandments of men.

For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, [as] the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do. And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition. – Mark 7:5-9

There is only one Great Commandment.

Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. – Matthew 22:37-38

There is only one needful part.

Now it came to pass, as they went, that he entered into a certain village: and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house. And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus' feet, and heard his word.

But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me.

And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things: But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her. – Luke 10:38-42

It will not taken away from Mary - and it will not be taken away from you either, dearest sister in Christ! Nor will it be taken away from me.

To God be the glory, not man, never man!
