ROFLO! You better check out the Greek and Eastern Orthodox who are also of the Catholic persuasion.
I'd say something like that too, if I were in your shoes. LOL
I'm 59. 60 shortly.
I'd guesstimate I've met several dozen who fit that description. I don't keep a record of their wrongs and certainly not of their names.
Was of concern at the times of observations in each case. Grieved my spirit.
You mean like these?
See? At least I can provide some evidence.
Well gee, even if true, that "they" were making fun of me that would be very "Christian" in behavior.
Give some examples.
= = = =
Actually, I believe that anyone who's observed a large enough sample of Roman Believers or Believers of any other group for that matter . . .
will have plenty of examples in their own experiences to refer to.
Human nature's that way. God makes a difference. He takes longer with some than with others.
Wait a second here. You did keep a record of their wrongs because you mentioned it here.
Well, if you can't back up your claims, why make them?
I am not a Protestant.
I was not mocking you, I was mocking your steadfast, almost allergic refusal to spell out the name Jesus Christ.
Good grief.
We're an independent Apostolic church. But you can google the 'Assemblies of the Lord Jesus Christ' to get the fundementals. Sure, the ALJC is not old when measured by addresses, non-taxable status paperwork, etc., but holds the doctrine that was held by the church, as Peter would say, "at the beginning". (Acts 11:15)
Since this is the time of the Lord's church (ever since that Holy Ghost pouring out on the day of Pentecost) we teach and preach the same thing that Peter and the apostles did.
Aw..toughen up if you want to play with the boys. Don't go crying now and getting all girly on us.
You needed to be reprimanded for your flippant "JC" tag you have applied to the most beautiful, Holy Name of Jesus Christ.
JC knows my heart and is the judger of facts. Too bad for you.
How were they "flippant"?
James Cagney knows your heart? Wierd.
Yeah, and the Pope isn't Catholic, LOL!
All you do is PROTESTant the Catholic Church.
While reading the Church fathers and the first three hundred years of Church history, I came to the conclusion, as a Protestant, that all the oldest churches were Catholic. That's one of the main reasons I became Catholic.

No. Keeping a record of their wrongs in the Biblical sense would have been to have remembered who did what by name or identity somehow . . . and recording it or remembering it and holding it against them.
I did nothing of the kind. But I have a rough memory of the numbers of people involved in a kind of unconscious running tab such as the sociologist part of me might keep. No names. No identities--and not even specific examples.
That, however, does NOT mean, my memory is total fabrication. I've been a student and researcher of such for a long time.
