"put your sacred words on the screen"
Can this be worded in a better way?
I think so.
I haven't seen any evidence he wasn't in Cleveland, either.
The burden of proof is on the affirmative.
I have no evidence that YOU were never in Rome, does that mean that you were? I don't understand the argument that if you can't prove something DIDN'T happen, then that means it happened. Anybody else see the problem with this reasoning.
You have no evidence that I was never in Tahiti, so I must have been there. Maybe for 25 years! (Should have took pictures, I don't seem to remember.) **scratching head**
Thank you .. I was beginning to think I was the only one who could see the backwards reasoning. Of course, you had the right words to explain it ..
Yeah, but I'd much rather NOT spend time in Cleveland.. hehe
Do you think that I should get started on Part 2 by myself. I get the feeling that I am all alone on this ecumenical pursuit, having been abandoned by Adiaireton8 and all.
I think you've proven your point. *wink*
I really hate to leave a job half done.
I agree with texasgal.
I'll wink if I have to. 8~)
Oh, it was soooooooooo much more than half done.
Much appreciate the paragraphing.
Doesn't change the historical facts.
Thanks for the effort.
The Church of Jesus Christ Universal spans across all groups who claim His Name; believe He came in the flesh and the other basic doctines of Scripture.
Thanks, thanks.
I should be much faster for my years at it. But, God and various pottery teachers over the last 8 years have been trying often vainly to get me to loosen up and be less obsessive compulsive.
The great teddy bear of a fellow newly at the college has succeeded more where others have not. So, I did manage 15 bowls today in far less time. Have 5 more to match agreed upon commitment. Will try to do another 4 for a margin. Will see how many make it through all the steps! Thankfully, the ones today were quite thin compared to usual. And, I was able to loosen up and experiment more. So, I think your prayers were answered. Thanks much.
Works for me.
Would entertain what other scholars had to say but that's roughtly what I had in mind.
INDEED! We are called some very . . . annoying things! LOL.
Let me ask you, why is it always the RC posters who become "offended" or "outraged" and file abuse complaints. I never see Protestants trying to get posters banned.

I think there's some sad truth to that. Good question.
Though the Calvinist/Armenian threads can get pretty fierce against the Armenians, too. Some contend the Armenians are fierce but I don't seem to see that so much for some reason. Some might contend I'm blind to it but I don't think that's an adequate explanation. LOL.
I will understand if you are too busy to reply but am interested,I think it is what the Christian world needs as a point of focus in these times. I also think Pope Benedict XVI has a brilliant mind,an awesome holiness and true humility. Truly a follower and imitator of Christ.

Blessed to read that. I pray it's as true as you assert it is.
Please do breathe, Uncle Chip. Please do breathe.
The wheels of bureaucracies and fossilized traditions tend to grind very slowly, indeed. We need you around so please breathe while waiting.
You do have evidence for that Bishopric, don't you? Or are you now backing off of that and all you really can find in the words of the Fathers is that Peter was in Rome for maybe a hamburger and no more?.
Are you now backing off of that magnificent legend in the face of a little scrutiny now?

Hmmmmmmmmmmm.
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, indeed.
I read a book about his life and theological upbringing which was published shortly after he became Pope. The name of the book escapes me but I do recall assurances that he would not likely ever waffle on the difficult theological or moral issues. Also, I am sure that his position is according to God's will for the Roman Catholic community of believers and for those with whom he will have contact during his papacy.
