Real Prophets climb mountains to be closer to God. They don't crawl into holes to hear the hissings of the Serpent.

The Koran has one prophesy, that Mohammed will return to Mecca. Not that much of a biggie in the big scheme of things. The Bible, on the other hand, contains many thousands of prophecies. Nearly one-third of the Bible is directly or indirectly related to prophecy.

This would seem to indicate that whatever spirit visited Mohammed was satan or one of his demons, it WAS not an angel of the Lord.

I'll go a step farther...the more I see and learn of this wicked religion, I'm not sure that Mohammad was not Satan himself incarnate.

Indeed Mohammed's first impression was that this apparition was a demon or a geni.

It was his wife who convinced him otherwise and this took her a considerable amount of time to do.

Excellent post, Meletus. And we all should probably remember Mother Teresa's words "Everything begins with prayer."

Islam is basically a xerox of Judaism.

False.

Nowhere in the OT does it say to carry out war forever, or until all people are subjugated. It was always with a specific goal in mind, then it would stop.

You said, "and yet... is the Torah any less violent?"

I don't accept that comparison--although it is obvious Mohammed liked the OT better than the NT.

Matthew 5:38-39 “You have heard that it was said, ‘An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.’ But I say to you, Do not resist one who is evil. But if any one strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also;--"

yeah--practise that with Islam and you are dead---

Absolutely!

Turn your other cheek and you have just made it easier for them to carry out verse 47:4 of their Koran...

When you meet the unbelievers in the Jihad strike off their heads [CUT OFF THEIR HEADS] and, when you have laid them low, bind your captives firmly."

You should read a book called "War as I knew it" by Gen. George Patton. It`s a book based on his diaries and published a year after his death in 1945 (or as some may say, a year after he was called home by the Lord after fulfilling his destiny.)

In one of the first entries of the book, he writes from North Africa Nov 2, 1942:

"This mess is the best I have ever seen. I fear I shall get fat. I take lots of excersice each morning, including chinning myself and running in place four hundred and eighty steps (one quarter mile) in my cabin. In the morning, at battle stations, we put on rubber belts and tin hats, but as my battle station is my cabin, I don`t have to hurry. Then I go up on the flag bridge till it gets light and then have breakfast. Just finished reading the Koran - a good book and interesting.

Have been giving everyone a simplified directive of war. Use steamroller strategy; That is, make up your mind on course and direction of action, and stick to it. But in tactics, do not steamroller. Attack the weakness. Hold them by the nose and kick them by the pants."

Do you know why he admired the Koran? Because the Koran is a book of combat.

"Turn the other cheek"

The NT does not teach the spread of the gospel by means of violence. But I don't think it is wholly passivist (Rom 13:1-7; Acts 25:11). Jesus' teachings were addressed primarily at a personal relationship level. The use of duly authorized police and military in a defensive sense are approved (Luke 3:14).

It is also worth noting that when the "angel" visited Mohammed, Mohammed was afraid .....

Franklin Graham said it first and best: Allah is not the God of Moses since Allah had no son......

The good news is that Islam doesn't control earth's strategic real estate and never will. Neutralizing Islams big cheese imams will neutralize their entire population. It is the glorious plan of the chicoms to rule the remnant after we blow ourselves to kingdom come.
