If science ever definitively proves there is no G-d (chas vechalilah!), there will be members of the ancient liturgical religions who will rush to claim that their traditions "knew this all along."
Whether or not some leftist freaks are using science, the handmaiden of religion (if you believe in an all powerful creator God) to try to deny God does not make the denial of science any better. Two wrongs do not a right make.
No problem. Showing the reasonable ground between the two extremes is a pleasure.
What this article shows is that Creationism is a protestant creation that is poisoning the Orthodox faith by denying God many of the powers of God. It is a false doctrine created by men of little insight who wish to put a straight jacket on God and force him into their narrow views. It is a rather good article and the first half is very important as it show Orthodoxy in its full theological beauty verses the narrow and uneducated creationist/evangelical views.
Creationism, in and of itself, cannot poison Orthodoxy because it is alien and meaningless to the Orthodox phronema. We simply od not concern ourselves with such issues. Creationism is very much a creature of the Western thought and life-style where everything must be "explained".
"We simply do not concern ourselves with such issues."
Which of course is why I said I don't have a dog in this fight. :)
