Um, influential in what way?
Titus 1:6 An elder must be blameless, the husband of but one wife, a man whose children believe and are not open to the charge of being wild and disobedient.
7Since an overseer is entrusted with God's work, he must be blamelessnot overbearing, not quick-tempered, not given to drunkenness, not violent, not pursuing dishonest gain.
8Rather he must be hospitable, one who loves what is good, who is self-controlled, upright, holy and disciplined.
9He must hold firmly to the trustworthy message as it has been taught, so that he can encourage others by sound doctrine and refute those who oppose it.
and
Matt 5:31
"It has been said, 'Anyone who divorces his wife must give her a certificate of divorce.'32But I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for marital unfaithfulness, causes her to become an adulteress, and anyone who marries the divorced woman commits adultery.
and
"I hate divorce," says the LORD God of Israel
Got problems with a divorced pastor? How about a divorced God?
Jeremiah 3:8
And I saw, when for all the causes whereby backsliding Israel committed adultery I had put her away, and given her a bill of divorce; yet her treacherous sister Judah feared not, but went and played the harlot also.
Take yourself out of bondage, buddy...
Why do pharisees quote just that one verse? Doesn't God hate all sin? What about YOUR sin? Doesn't He hate that too?
Way to argue, bud.
I do not think that is Charles Stanley. However, I never have heard Charles Stanley. Andy his son is terrific. I highly recommend it if you ever get a chance.
