Your outrageous insults are read and noted.
I would appreciate your not putting incredibly untrue words in my fingers.
Bye
I work hard to avoid putting God in boxes of my creation.
I try to allow Scripture to mean whatever it might mean consistent with God's Nature.
I try to avoid presuming that I know precisely and emphatically what a verse means when there are a diversity of meanings or the possibility of a diversity of meanings.
I realize mileage may vary regarding . . . others.
Your wholesale insulting aversions to fact
and putting your words in my fingers
are read and noted.
God will judge very fairly--particularly the intents of the hearts involved.
Thanks for your assaults and insults. I trust God's Word and nature enough to be confident He will use them to work for me a greater weight of glory in eternity.
You have Freepmail
Matthew 10:14
"Whoever does not receive you, nor heed your words, as you go out of that house or that city, shake the dust off your feet.
It might well be that you know better than I how and when to apply Scripture!
It does seem to me that you are accurate in your FREEPMAIL assessment as well as your exhortation re my behavior. Thanks Tons.
May our Lord richly bless you and yours.
Can you please show me where that is in the Bible?
2nd Corinthians 8;9 For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that you through his poverty might be rich.
Why do you get sick, lose your hair, eyes get weak with age and then die?
Transgression of the Law brings death. The payment for sin is death. Trying to obey the law of Moses with your own will, but breaking one, brings the judgment of the Law on you. Jesus fulfilled the Law. The Law only applies to the unrighteous. If one is righteous, they are righteous by faith in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, not by the works of the Law.
In other words, sickness and death come upon us because of sin. Only God can lead us to repentance of our sins and repentance is a changing of your mind. Its one thing to say "I will no longer lust" but if you lust in your mind for cars or houses instead of women, its still lust. Only the power of God can take the sin out of a human being and he does that when you walk by faith, he does it as he sees fit and not according to our will.
We are declared righteous because of the Propitiation of Christ, in reality we remain sinners until Resurrection when we are given new bodies and have a perfectly sinless nature that is not capable of sin.
You do not remain a sinner if you walk in the Spirit, because the Spirit only does the will of the Father. You sin when you walk in the flesh. The flesh sins the Spirit doesn't. Jesus never sinned and he was a flesh and blood man like you and me, only he was obedient to the Father all the way to the death of the cross. If we are to be Christ like we will be obedient and walk in the Spirit being obedient to God.
Tell me what "faith" is.
Faith is defined in Hebrews, but faith is reliance on adherence to and trusting in the death burial and resurrection of Jesus.
The human race is so caught up in their own intellect they strain at a gnat and swallow a camel. Abraham was righteous and all he had was "so shall thy seed be" and God counted him righteous for his faith.
Faith is when your sick, you believe that the sickness is a lie and trust on the power of God that healed the stripes of Jesus, healed you too. Faith is when your broke, believe Jesus became poor, so you might be rich. Faith is when you're condemned for a sin you committed, repent and believe you're righteous by faith that sin was dealt with on the cross when Jesus went to hell for our sin.
er...witnessing in Jerusalem...
You do, mercifully, know my heart . . .
a continuing encouragement and strengthening of my hand in The Lord.
ENORMOUS THANKS.
Well said, imho.
