I've been on low carb (not Atkins) for a month and have lost 19 lbs. Was 198, now 179. 1st two weeks was difficult, but very easy and comfotable now with no side effects and energy returning.

I started Atkins on August 24th, and went from 215 to 194 in 5 weeks (I'm male, 5'10"). With results like that, who needs bread and pasta?
My target weight was 1 pound lower than my brother. He's 195. ;^)

I'm looking at going low carb and have already done away with most bread and pasta. I would like to know what plan you are following and why you chose it and not Atkins.

I've not read the Atkins book but I have been following these threads on freep. What is your method of a low carb diet that is not Atkins? I love meat, just can't handle the thought of tons of sour cream and pork rinds. Also can't handle the thought of giving up vegetables. What's your method, if you don't mind me asking.
