If this series makes it back to NYC, the Bosox won't make it out of the Bronx alive.

Well, you think the true colors of Yankee fans come out of the dark?

its not the fans at the stadium, the actual people at the game are upper middle class folks from the burbs, since they have the tickets. but the neighboorhood folks, watch out! and if they get the Boston PD involved arresting some Yankees, the NYPD reaction could get ugly. Look what they did to Springsteen for singing 41 shots at Shea.

Yeah, its may make things interesting to say the least. Another chapter in the on-going Yankee Red Sox rivalry.

He seemed OK on TV. I still got scars from cleats on my left ankle, no big deal.

now they claim 7 yankees in the bullpen were stomping on him? maybe the Boston PD should try and frame Mariano Rivera, since he is the guy they need to get out of the playoffs!

Unconfirmed:

Two Yankees to be charged with assault and battery in bullpen fracas.

I just popped over here after the race to see what was up, and I heard that same thing about two being charged on the local NBC news out of NYC. That's all I caught from it.

When all is said and done- Pedro should not have tried to hit Garcia. That stuff is just not cool. Manny overreacted to a high pitch that wasn't even near him. Zimmer got what was coming to him for trying to left hook Pedro 72 years old or not. And now it seems there is talk of criminal charges against several Yankees for assualting a Fenway employee.

Yanks - 26 World Series championships and counting...

Sox - BIG FAT ZERO championships since THE CURSE and counting...and after the display of "class" by the Sox today, they're not getting anything anytime soon.

I don't care if he's Hercules. He's still a piece of crap and yes, he has a lot of class....all of it low.

After Pedro plunked Garcia the Yankees had no runs and just one hit in the next five innings.

Clemens and the Yanks pitched well after the incidents.

The Sox just couldn't manufacture three runs.

That's exactly right and is "just" my point.

Boston just might springboard as a unified club and beat the Yanks.

Rarely do people unite around such a person who would mouth, "I'm going to go for your head too".

He is not a punk, he was sending a message from the best pitcher ever to a team he may pitch against one more time.

A pitcher who is "the best pitcher ever", doesn't need to send a message by throwing to the back of somebodies head.

If you want to know why Red Sox fans hate the Yankees, think about this.
Joe Torre says " it was one pitch one player that cause the problem." Don Zimmer says "He's embarrassed." Where were Zimmer and Torre when Roger threw at Mike Piazza in the 2000 World Series. That was okay because he's a Yankee. Roger Clemens has hit many a batter in his time and would think nothing of throwing high and very tight for any reason.

As a Red Sox fan its not easy to say this, however I think the Yankees are a great franchise and deserve credit for the what they have done for MLB. That doesn't change the fact that the Yankees always seem to come out smelling like a rose no matter what they do. Don't get me wrong Pedro should not have incited the Yankees and given them something to fight for.

Karim Garcia, who has actually managed to overreact to being hit in the back by a Pedro Martinez fastball.

You obviously never played the game of baseball. Brushback pitches to control the inside part of the plate are fine. Throwing at a guys head is definitely off limits. Pedro showed he was a classless act. Pointing to his head and threatening to hit someone in the head? Come on, even a Red Sox fan can't condone that. You're messing with a guy's career and his health. Even if you want to hit a guy, the unwritten rule is to keep it from the waist on down.
