"Never, ever aim an attack at another poster."
Never, ever.
My philosophy too, except when some jerk really ticks me off.
Right ...
I never aim. I prefer area clearance weapons .. napalm, white phosphorus, or nukes (depending on the area needing clearing).

We secularists have plenty of opportunity to defend our conservative Christian brethren, I assure you. And contrarily, I'm far less inclined to defend them than I was, say, 2 years ago, largely because of my involvement in crevo discussions. Christian creationists need to understand (and they don't seem to understand) that for scientists, this is a bedrock issue. Pushing a sectarian dogmatic view of origins into public schools and universities will alienate a large fraction of scientisits, many of whom are naturally conservative and would otherwise be inclined to support them on a score of other issues. For the well being of conservatism in general, this is really destructive.

Is it not safe to say, though, that "No atheists are creationists"? LOL Actually, no. There are non-theistic varieties of creationism which involve life on Earth being designed/created here, or "seeded", by non-terrestrial intelligences of some sort -- loosely speaking, by space aliens.

And I do believe a certain former Nobel prize winning DNA structure discoverer falls into this category.
