Just curious question for Freeper legal types. How is the investigator able to testify about what the accuser told him? Isn't this all hearsay?

This is the preliminary hearing.

At the trial, she'll have to testify to all this herself, but having one person, usually a detective, lay out prosecution evidence is SOP at a preliminary hearing.
