I was very proud to go to the polls and vote for Tom. In these days when people are willing to vote for any fly-by-night .. I still voted for the person I felt was the most qualified to do the job.

However .. to those Arnold people who called me names because I wouldn't vote for Arnold .. I guess you wasted your breath. I'm not against Arnold and I really, truly hope he does as well as everyone hopes. Surely California deserves a break - we've had 5 years of unbridled liberalism and it has about done this state in .. and the rest of the country is watching.

This morning I am listening to Rush (as usual), and Rush was discussing the combined number of conservative votes - both Tom and Arnold - over 60%. Then Rush said .. "the thing I would like to see is Tom running against Boxer. Now .. that would be a campaign I would support". I hope Tom got that clue! I could not agree more. Tom's strength is legislation .. and certainly the Senate could use a lot of help.

Your post summed up my thoughts as well.

The CRP really needed to know there are a significant number of us who strongly share the positions represented by TM. As things turned out, in voting for him the message was sent w/out jeopardizing the party's victory.

Hopefully the CRP was listening.
