If you share his values why do you not stay in the Republican party as well? Just asking. I'm not trying to start an argument. If you don't want to answer I'll understand.

Because if I stay in, it shows that I support how the leaders are managing the party - and I vehemently don't agree with the way they handled this recall or the last several elections.

I can't change it from within because it doesn't seem to matter how the majority votes on party issues - because it is overridden in backroom deals.

I think the only thing that might make an impact is a little less of my time (precinct walking, manning registration booths) and a little less money.
