Since California is the 5th or 6th largest economy in the world, what happens there affects us all.

If Arnold is able to deal with the budget deficit and a myriad of other problems, it will benefit the economy everywhere.

I'll buy that. But I was responding to what appeared to be an erroneous post aimed at me...as if I had made a statement concerning the subject, which I hadn't.

If Arnold surrounds himself with good advisers and turn the state around, California will be in play for 2004, no longer a safe Democratic state.

This will force the Dems to spend a lot money there just to keep what they thought it was already theirs.
