Moreover, the Democrats are going to have to fight the referendum against SB60 that is coming up in California. They could concievably lose two major battles on their home turf in a matter of only a few months apart

Three. We're going to take away the car tax too.

So should the Democrats suffer grievously in today's recall election, and should the Democrats get crushed backing SB60 against the Republican referendum

The wild card will be the number of Republicans who get caught on the wrong side of what the anti-SB60 referendum is all about.

Hint to Schwarzenegger, Hatch, Cornyn, McCain, and President Bush:
it ain't background checks and potential "guest worker" status.

"I can't wait to see the minions melt down."

I wouldn't mind seeing some meltdown, as long as they don't start physically attacking Republicans or the new Governor. The Demon-rats are starting to remind me of the "Chavistas" in Venezuela. They look like a mob of people who largely view themselves as the economic losers in America and who will do anything to tear down the winners and even up the score. We're going to have to be vigilant here and not let a mob of arrogant leftists subvert democracy in California. This could turn into a nasty fight, but it's an important one and we can't afford to lose. I've never been to a single political rally in my life, but this time I'll go to make sure Arnold take office in Sacramento.

Beside spending money and pr to try and save Herr Davis, the rats have lost a lot of big time donors like Martha.

Many CEOs of Rat controlled corporations in the Bubba years donated massive sums to the Clintoons and the DNC.

Well Loral and many of those companies are either not around anymore or too poor to donate.

Last but not least, Yellowcake II, Weaselely Clark's announcement as a time traveling independent running for to be the Rat Candidate and Yellowcake I and II have destroyed most face time on tv for the 9 drawfs plus Weaselely and minus Graham.

Three. We're going to take away the car tax too.

We're in Upstate NY. Our registration is $24 per year/vehicle. We have 2, so we pay $48 per year.
NYC is the liberal mecca, but we still have some sanity up here!

I just got my CA vehicle registration renewal in the mail last week -- $407

I'm sure Davis would prefer that these went out a month from now.

$50,000 home runs about $500 per year.

I've re-read yor article and all the posts and I hope you're just paranoid!

Other than that, the Left has for long been looney, hasn't it? Nothing will change outside of Berzerkeley, (and, oh, Lawrence, Kansas, in case anyone still thinks Berzerkeley is an exception), I predict. After all, the Left, the establishement Left is winning! They've got the judiciary, and, as the recent confirmation battles show, they'll keep it, thank you.

But more than that, the Left dominates, why, it dictates the national discourse. The issue of the day, like the national obsessions with "racism" and with the so-called "poor", and the AIDS epidemic or the so-called widespread corporate wrongdoing, or the human rights for the animals, have all come out of the Left's brainstorms and focus groups.

Let the Berserk Left in university towns and in Hollywood go batty! The more they do it the more they expose the insanity of the entire side of the spectrum. Let's do our best, I say, to encourage them even!

That's about the same as Nashville.

Commercial rates are harder though. Mine run about 10% of gross rents annually.

Homes are about 1% of value as a rule more or less.

Don't get me started on F&E taxes...ouch

But we do not have a state income tax yet our sales tax is 9.25%

I hate to admit it but I would not be suprised to see Prop 13 on the table in Kali at some point.

What is the history of a President elected in the even year that ends with a 0? Such as 1960, 1980, and 2000. They have been assassinated or attempted assassinations.

I pray this isn't the case with W Bush.

I can't wait to see the minions melt down. Better get the wine now. It's gonna be a fun night if Arnold takes the trophy!

It might be a good idea for people to get themselves a DUmmy poster name so they can be unmercifully taunted tonight! You'll probably get banned in 1 post unless you're quick, so you'd better make it a good one on a hot thread!

Maybe the guy that hacked the "ALL YOUR SENATE ARE BELONG TO US" error message will make another appearance!

Democratic presidential candidate Howard Dean is calling for a $200 million effort to screen new parents to make sure they're up to the task of raising children.

No kidding! Let's hope the left loses big time!!! The "village" will choose if you''re worthy of parenthood? Will they take your baby if they decide you're not?

Stop the insanity. Stop the facism.

" Lets hope for the best… and prepare for the worst."

agree. . .the Left have and will continue to subvert/divert 'due process'; our Constitution - our Bill of Rights; our Rule of Law; our Education, the Electoral College - our VOTE. . . et al.

. . .and no low, too low; these people operate from a bottomless pit.

The "new" left has a history of violence. They aren't made up of fiscal liberals as much as anti-capitalists and communists.

What happens when the G8 comes to a city with leftists? Violence, murder, and destruction. These people roll with the anarchist/mob mentality. All it takes is a spark and they'll come crawling out of the woodwork to kill and destroy.

These people equal Hitler. In his last days when he knew the end was upon him he ordered bridges and stores (in Berlin) to be destroyed and the executions to continue. Even though it would not help the Germans and only bring more misery to his people. When evil realizes its time is short it stops its primary plan of deception and trickery and lashes out in violence.
