I wouldn't say nothing. Some laws have been put into place, policy changes have occurred. But a full reversal of Roe v. Wade would have to come from the Supreme Court - and since there hasn't been a change in the judges that isn't going to happen soon.
(That's one reason we need to fight for Bush's conservative judicial nominees.)
The other option is a constitutional amendment, and that is very difficult to attain. Go to your local congresspersons and see if they would be willing to sponsor one. Mine haven't expressed any interest.
Yes, and that's exactly why every pro-abort in the country is so happy that there might be two or three GWB appointees to the Supreme Court, right? That's why Kate Michelman is just sunshine and lollipops about Priscilla Owen and Charles Pickering. That's why Laci and Connor's law doesn't scare them a bit.
As for "absolutely nothing," tell that to the kids who'll live because the PBA ban got accomplished.
