Interesting observation..I hadn't looked at it that way yet...2004 might be a real damn good year if tonight reveals anything.

Um Arnold is getting some Dem and Ind support.

What amazes me are the number of talking heads who do no research to understand what subject they're discussing. There are two separate issues on this ballot: the removing/recalling of Davis is the DAVIS vote - yes or no to keep him. The separate issue is who should replace him. They do understand it perfectly well. They are spinning in the worst way.
Just like dems get away with "Bush stole the election" when every count and recount had GWB win Florida.
They know. They lie.

GOP, get out the vote, don't be holding back now ... go for MORE! That's what John and Ken are saying on KFI. Get off work and make sure you vote. Pile on! Make it a massacre!

Remember when McClintock supporters stated he would beat Bustamante?

In the 1996 and 2000 Presidential elections, I read stories that since Clinton and Gore won those states so handidly, California didn't bother to count the absentees.
But that does sound suspicious since there are usually other things on the ballots. Maybe those reporters were referring to just the counting of the President or U.S. Senate votes. I do remember it coming up during Florida 2000 when some pundit was arguring the concept of "all votes cast should count" with some Gore person.

Don't tell me those Chicago Democrats have figured out how to get dead Illinois residents to vote in the California recall!!!
There's a Cubs logo taped to the garage of this Wisconsinites home tonight. (We have a friend parking his car here for a few days who loves the Cubs and it is marking his spot.)

Arnold and Tom have 63% of the vote between them. Talk about a GOP TSUNAMI!!!Yup. :)

Tonight, Chris Matthews asked if the "slime campaign" against Schwarzenegger backfired against the 'Rats and CNN's Zahn has not smiled once during her show.
They have seen the early exit poll results and they know they've lost.
I'm particularly looking forward to seeing MSNBC's Lawrence O'Donnell have a screaming fit on the beach in Santa Monica later tonight.

Could it be a 50+ on Question 1 *and* a MAJORITY for Arnold ?!? *Shocking*

Yes, I remember hearing that. I might have even said it. I could not have forseen the crystalizing effect the LATimes smear campaign would have on California voters. I think there are a lot of McClintock conservatives today thinking "Screw the LA Slimes, I'm voting for Ahnold!"

Remember when Arnold supporters stated a vote for McClintock was a vote for BustaMecha?
What's your point? BustaMecha is the big loser (as is Davis)
To: marajade
Um Arnold is getting some Dem and Ind support. Good point, and he also appears to be the clear leader. TIme will tell how the political landscape plays out. I certainly concede that while this election is a step in the right direction, it isn't a "mandate from conservatives."

My husband says when he got off work and went to vote, it went out the garage (the polling place), down the driveway and down the street! Never seen anything like that EVER. Cool!!!
