Sorry all. I didn't make it to Furman afterwards. The rain got me. I would have missed it due slow traffic. A double freep would have been great but it's not worth dying over.
I was getting reading to jump in on the ladies who were trying to give upchuck a verbal thrashing, but when they brought up the dumpster thing, I was cracking up. I couldn't even speak. Their spokesperson also said that they loved Hillary and voted for her husband. It wasn't the tone, but I later thought that their points were eerily familiar to exchanges reported from earlier freeps. Just my theory that these women may have been Hillary staffers, or women from the local DNC.
Plenty of support from law enforcement and passers by.

I can't believe Hillary Clinton called President Bush "the Devil"! This time there is proof. The local Tabloid printed it in their after signing report. The State Newspaper

"And sitting in the back on our side of the SUV beside a window that was not tinted was The Evil Hildabeaste herself.
Her lips were moving as she swept past us and saw us. I thought I read what she was saying but wasn't sure.
I said, "Did you see that?" And Tax Relief said, "Yeah, she said 'THERE'S MY DEVIL'."
We all busted out laughing..."

I think that the folks at webshots do NOT allow "remote third party linking" - hence the white box with the red "x" - BUT, you can force that image to show up when you read in this thread if you "cut and paste" the link below into your browser's address window, and go to that page on their website.
This will cause the image to download to a temporary file on your hard drive, and then you can return to this thread to see it here.
THIS is the link to that image, but you cannot CLICK on it, you must "cut and paste" it:

Thanks, TaxRelief, for reminding me. Yeah, it's true.
I guess we South Carolinians just don't like the Hildabeaste very much. Thread: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/995929/posts?page=1
That would be THIS thread:
Hundreds save place in line to meet Clinton (Bookstore only sells 200 out of 500 tickets)
The State ^ | Today | T.D. MOBLEY-MARTINEZ
Posted on 10/06/2003 4:58 AM PDT by The Anti-Democrat
The mini-muffins, chocolate-chip cookies, bottles of water and a carafe of coffee still waited for takers Sunday afternoon, but the line outside The Happy Bookseller was long gone.
In a little more than an hour after doors opened at 1 p.m., about 200 people mostly women in their 40s coursed through the store, all to pick up Hillary Rodham Clintons new book, Living History. The $28 purchase also buys a numbered place in line for Clintons book-signing between 2:30 and 4 p.m. today.
It was fewer than the 500 store owner Andy Graves had estimated last week. "I was driving in today," Graves told a customer as he took her check, "and I had this great trepidation that there would be thousands of people waiting."
He laughed.
"Oh, Im not disappointed," Graves said later. "Its the kind of thing thats good to have some play, especially with Yom Kippur and with the State Fair and all thats going on."
The good news, he said, is that there will probably be tickets available today. Only 500 will be sold.
Maria Walker, a 46-year-old auditor with the state, called not long after 1 p.m. and found that they were already issuing ticket No. 75.
"I got dressed right away and came down," she said. "I thought there was going to be an after-church crowd..."

Hi, Ron!
Hundreds save place in line to meet Clinton (Bookstore only sells 200 out of 500 tickets)????
When we went to book signing for Barbara Olson, there was a huge party there waiting to meet her. Bill O'Reilly book signing drew a huge crowd. So did Jimmy Stewart and Rudy Guiliani - had to wait in a long long line to meet them. More people showed up for a book than there were books available.
But Hildabeast only draws 200. Now THAT tells me something~

Here's a quote from the newspaper article:
Theres a devil across the street, one man said to Clinton, gesturing toward the cutout of Bush. Yeah, he follows me around, Clinton replied. It must be a full- time job, I guess.
This is amusing for a couple of reasons:
- First, the news reporter had no sense of her surroundings. The man wasn't gesturing at the cardboard cutout of President Bush, he was gesturing past President Bush and across the street to where HCG was standing in the devil's costume.
- Yeah, Hildabeaste, it's a full time job. For multiple FReepers. Unlike your job, which you obviously weren't doing when you made the comment.
A general question which I was thinking about on the way home: Has anyone determined exactly who pays for these booksigning trips? I expect they are not cheap. I wonder if the expenses are deducted from the $8 mill the Hildabeaste got even before
putting pen to paper hiring her ghost writers?
