The crowd, meeting on the grounds of a block making (construction) business,

Where did they do this? At Clanton Block on scuzzy San Fernando Road?? You'd think they could have found a better spot...

I believe that's the name of the business. Yes, it was on the corner of San Fernando Road & Mc(something. . . I don't remember).

I too was wondering why the rally was held there instead of say, Central Park on Bouquet Canyon Road. Central Park has much more land and parking (most people parked on San Fernando Road in the no stopping zone). I heard some say that an Arnold supporter owns the business there, and so that's why the rally was there at his business. But I have not checked that statement out.

Hey Ern - This was in The Mighty Signal on Thursday. It didn't appear on their low budget web site.

Actor Making Campaign Stop in Santa Clarita

The Terminator is on his way.

Arnold Schwarzenegger, along with an entourage complete with five tour buses, is scheduled to make a stop Friday at a Latino-owned and operated business on San Fernando Road.

Anthony Maldonado, manager of Pueblo Building Materials, said he was surprised when he got a call from city officials telling him that the former Mr. Universe will be making an appearance at his family's place of business.

"It's exciting," Maldonado said. "We got a call saying that they were looking for a business owned and operated by Latinos because (Schwarzenegger) was interested in reaching out to the Latino community. To be chosen, it's an honor."

Maldonado, who along with his family, purchased the business four and a half years ago, said he already has "a lot of questions" lined up for the gubernatorial candidate.

"I want to know how he plans to help out the Latino community," he said. "I was told he would be here for about an hour, answering questions and talking to us, so we're pretty much ready for him."

Pueblo Building Materials is located at 25446 San Fernando Road. The Schwarzenegger stop is scheduled for Friday, at 10 a.m.
