I hope everyone had a very special and blessed Thanksgiving Day! I had not thought that I would have the opportunity to travel and be with my family, but a miracle occurred and I was able to spend a few hours with them. What a happy time it was! I wish such a special time for all of you!
On a thread posted by kattracks concerning the letters home to fallen troops that the President must write, VOA has suggested this as a special topic of prayer which we Prayer Warriors should address. The following is the offering made on that thread. If you wish to participate in that thread, it can be found here:

"This sounds like an item for which Dubya could use some prayer-assistance..."
Thanks so much for the ping and the call to prayer. I agree with you, VOA. We have had him at the top of our Troop Prayer List since the beginning. The man does have many stresses and challenges before him and deserves our prayers.
Beloved Heavenly Father,
We place before you our President, George W. Bush. We are recognizing the particular challenge before him concerning the letters to families of fallen troops he has to write. Father, surround and support him while he is executing this very painful duty of Commander In Chief. If it is possible and according to your Law, let us also bear with him a portion of that burden. Each of these who have given their lives are our brothers and sisters in a very real sense. They have given their very lives for us so that we can live our lives breathing the air of sweet Freedom. We ask for the grieving families to be comforted and healed. Assure them in their very hearts that this nation IS grateful for them and that those letters from the President are not only personal letters from him, but also sent on behalf of all of us.
Father, we are so very grateful for the service of all our fine troops and their allies. Bring them all home in the fullness of time, after the Job is done, safe and victorious.
Amen

You are welcome, Ms FEather! Your prayers were answered...I unexpectedly got to go see my folks on Thanksgiving Day! Some family members who I did not expect to see because I thought they were traveling elsewhere were also there. It was such a happy time! I truly felt that God was blessing us.
I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving Day yourself! God bless you and yours!

Amen, TEX. Thank you for the lovely prayer for our CinC who bears the final responsibility.
Prayers for those who visit the wounded, break the sorrowful news to mothers and fathers, tend the wounded souls of their fellow fallen Soldiers.
ALOHA RONNIE posted a thread, asking us to remember our wounded heroes this Christmas:
NEVER FORGET
...And now this from JOE GALLOWAY, with LOVE:
.."I spent six hours at Walter Reed Hospital a week or so ago. Signed and gave away 500 copies of...
'WE WERE SOLDIERS ONCE and YOUNG'
...We did the Doc's and Nurses and walking wounded in the auditorium. Then loaded the books on carts and went ward to ward, bed to bed, visiting those who aren't mobile.
...They all have such great attitudes, such positive outlook, in the face of terrible human tragedy.
...Young men missing both arms or both legs; blinded by IED explosions.
...They were smiling so I smiled too.
...But when I got out of there I sat down and cried for all they have given."
...Signed:..JOE GALLOWAY

You are welcome for the prayer, AG. Glory to God, and Praise Him!
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving! At the last minute the opportunity opened up for us to be able to be with my family on Thanksgiving Day. Completely unexpected! Everyone was there except for our little active troops, my niece and her husband. They did not have leave to be able to be with all of us, but it was a blessing to have the rest of the family there.
I hope you had a wonderful TDay yourself! God bless you and yours! (((((((((((((AG))))))))))))

Thank you for your post 536. Amen to your prayers for our troops.
IMHO your prayers and the prayers of many for our troops to have a special morale boost were answered when our President went to see them. When I learned about it the day after, I truly had the sense that W. did that for me and all the rest of us. He told them with words AND actions that America is behind them! And we most certainly ARE!!
GOD BLESS OUR WONDERFUL TROOPS AND THEIR ALLIES!!
