I'll admit, I didn't even see the line about the missiles being destroyed.
Polish television pictures showed missiles placed in a shallow trench and a huge explosion when the Poles blew up munitions at the site.
I hope the tv crew took some up close and personal pictures of the missiles.

"How very convient that they were destroyed before any of this could be determined.
"The ammunition depot was neutralised," said Mleczak. Polish television pictures showed missiles placed in a shallow trench and a huge explosion when the Poles blew up munitions at the site.
They were photographed and any missile expert could tell who made them. What did you want the Poles to do with them? Keep them around for Iraqis to sneak in and hammer on for salvage materials, as has happened before? A bomb went KABOOM! on the such last occasion, and naturally the Americans were blamed for letting the Iraqis blow themselves up.

Trouble with United Nations is it gives "cover" to France as a "civilized" nation. They are horrible money grubbing creeps.

Newsmax picked the story up. Drudge hasn't yet though.
I heard the story on my local Atlanta radio news at about 3:30. I hope the NY Post does a new weasel cover. They raised the bar pretty high with the "Damsel in Distress" cover.

France strongly denied having sold any such missiles to Iraq for nearly two decadesLOL! france also denies they surrendered to the Nazis and didn't collaborate on shipping out Jews. They also claim there was a french resistance.

The most damning part of the article for the French is the lack of accusation that any of their missiles actually succeeded in downing any coalition planes.Hadn't thought of that, but it's so true. If they had downed our planes, they'd be quietly bragging about it, like Russia did with their anti-tank stuff.

They have to destroy arms that they find right away -- otherwise they'd have to spend a ton of time and effort protecting them. I'm sure it's well-documented with photos, etc.

Hey Poland: Don't blow them up next time. Send them to the US.

The article does not say the evidence was destroyed before it could be inspected.
And no, I hate France (but not all French) with my eyes wide open.
