Had that other guy not decided at his whimsy not to run, McClintock would be 57% or better in the polls.

Probably better, because conservatives who prefer to be left alone, will come out to vote for that guy.

Interesting...... a couple of questions

What percent of the CA electorate is conservative?

What would happen to the other group of canidates that have now dropped out had Schwarzenegger not gotten in? Issa, Uberroth, Simon, etc. Would McClintock just wiped the floor with them and ran then out?

....surely Tom is closer to your beliefs than Arnold who is Pro-Abortion, Pro-Homosexual could ever be.

"Had that other guy not decided at his whimsy not to run, McClintock would be 57% or better in the polls."

Geez, talk about delusional. And what do you base this number on? Certainly not his 2002 Controller's race against an unknown candadate. Tom is a great guy and good conservative but he isn't going to win this race - end of story, deal with it. Very disturbing how incredibly vicious the attacks on Arnold have been on this board. For a bunch of people who so praise Ronald Reagan (and rightfully so), you sure do him a disservice by forgetting his 11th Commandment.

McClintock at 57%? ....and if my grandmother had wheels she'd be a wagon.

Speaking of primaries - Schwarznkennedy has never won one. McClintock, on the other hand, has twenty years of running, winning, sacrificing and serving. Schwarznkennedy does not deserve our support. Go, McClintock!

RINO Pete Wilson pretty much destroyed the CA Republican Party and now he's on Swarznkennedy's team. It'll just be a repeat. That's how we lost California to the democraps. Go, McClintock!

Why does McClintock think he's entitled to the CA Governorship?

The Dems took over on RINO Pete Wilson's watch, pal, and guess who's on Schwarznkennedy's team. Go, McClintock!

Why does McClintock think he's entitled to the CA Governorship?

The hard way, he earned it! Twenty years of sacrificing, running, winning and serving. The guy is a work horse. By the way, one day my husband was in the Capitol and walked by McClintock's office. McClintock said, "Come on in and let's talk" and they did! Just like that. My husband can't say enough good things about McClintock - not just because of that but because of the guy's record. Go, McClintock!!

What were the Conservatives doing in the meantime? Twiddling their thumbs? What were you doing that apparently didn't work?

McClintock doesn't sling mud. He is above the fray. That's why we all love him so much - one of the reasons anyway. Didn't you see him during the debates? The guy is a statesman and a gentleman. Go, McClintock!

McClintock is a proven leader.

Saundra, check the calendar. This is not April 1. From what I hear, McClintock is a loner. He couldn't lead a parade. Moreover, hasn't he lost about 3-4 elections over the last few years when he tried for another office?

I've had numerous chats with Ray Haynes...at the capitol building, his home, and at church. Very approachable man..honest, ethical and honorable.

Now will you please answer my post 81?
