I have been on many Democratic websites over the last few months, as I am looking for a candidate that I can trust. I do not trust GWB, but I do not wish him any harm. Oh back to the point, there is so much hatred in the posts here. More than any other site I have ever been to. Someone mentioned that we should simply not vote for the guy, well we didn't, over half of us. I will try to refrain from using the language that is so prevalent here, (personal attacks because someone has a different opinion). "If you are not with us then you are against us" does not apply in a democracy. What is it that GWB has done that is so great again??? And by the way, the USSR was crubling from the inside out, Reagan, you idiots, had nothing to do with it.

I'm not quite sure why you addressed your post to me, as the content of your comment does not refelct any logical response to anything I posted. As for your comment that Ronald Reagan had nothing to do with the collapse of the Soviet Union, I -- and I'm sure countless others -- find such an assertion preposterous. Reagan bankrupted the Soviet Union, which he knew was the surest and the quickest and the safest way of destroying that regime. You are obviously a Democrat, as you state you cruise the various Democratic websites seeking a candidate you can trust (that's kind of like looking for a virginal prostitute). Thus, I understand your aversion to anything even remotely associated with the Republican Party. Have you had that affliction long? Or is it a relative recent development? My distrust and contempt for the Democratic Party is recent, though: Hell, I even supported Jimmy Carter in 1976, but I just as eagerly abandoned him for the inept buffoon he turned out to be, and I happily voted for RR in 1980. The Democratic Party used to have some real class acts, and it even has a small handful still around, although they are pretty much ostracized by the rank-and-file in the Democratic Party (I'm talking about Zell Miller, John Breaux, and even, to an extent, Evan Bayh). I find it amusing that the sainted hero of the Democratic Party, John F. Kennedy, would not even be welcome in the Democratic Party of today: He would be considered a right-wing extremist. Now, I have some very substantial disputes with the Republican Party, as well. But at least the Republican Party, by and large, is not on a hell-bent, fast-track crusade to strip me of what little is left of my basic rights as an American citizen, which the Democratic Party (especially its "progressive" wing, which seems to be its majority) seems so determined to do.

I like the way you want to "refrain from using the language that is so prevalent here", then go on to call us idiots. You convinced me, liberals are so much more enlightened, not!
