Cookout is next week, second Friday...
Brats are in the freezer, waiting to be parboiled.
Beer, butter, and onions in the fridge.
Burger patties in the freezer, gas bottles filled...

I'm ready!!

"Brats are in the freezer"

Must be a pretty big freezer to fit MoJo, tom and Beth!

There are two Grill Sergeants...
We feed from 50 to 60 people...co-workers and a few spouses.
The company provides the meat, the coffee-fund provides condiments, drinks, and ice.
The rest of the food - sides, salads, chips, deserts, etc. is pot-luck.
It is a great way to show the gang how much we appreciate all the hard work they put in to our systems.

Oh yeah, big freezer out in the garage.

Gotta be careful, though...Arizonans are known for keeping family members in the freezer...

We've had 3 cases in the last 5 years where a deceased person was found in someone's freezer...eeewwwwwwwwwww!!!!!!!

Congressional Medal of Honor Society

Link takes you to their home page, all the medals are shown.

Here's the medal awarded to soldiers:

Their web site has a history of the medal and pictures of the medal as it has matured since the Civil War.

Ooh -- I guess I was too specific -- LOL! That's what happens when those of us who know only a little military lingo try to talk it!! LOL! This is a wierd question. I do scrapbooks and have some Army stickers that I was using on a page about KJ's activation/deployment. One of the stickers looks just like the Distinguished Service Cross, except that instead of the ribbon being blue and gold with red border, it is blue witha thin gold line down each side. Does this ring a bell -- or did the sticker company just try to some up with something official looking, but not truly official??

Kathy, I'm on it...

DoD or Army or someone like that has a medal recognition page. I'm going to go scope it out and give Star the link. If I can't ID it from her description, she'll have a chance to look them over.

I did this for somebody last Spring...her USMC uncle had an AF ribbon...he must have been attached to an AF unit during 'Nam.

This is the Distinguished Service Cross that I found. The sticker I have has the same medal, but the ribbon is blue where this picture shows red.
