AN DIEGO (AP) -- Gubernatorial front-runner Arnold Schwarzenegger acknowledged that he has "behaved badly" to women and offered an apology Thursday.
Schwarzenegger's remarks, as he kicked off a four-day bus tour of the state in the final days of the recall campaign, came after a Los Angeles Times story published Thursday in which six women accused him of sexually harassing and groping them.

Exempting certain groups from taxation based on political contributions is wrong. That has nothing to do with conservatism or liberalism or any political view.
Taxes are a necessary evil required by civilization, all conservatives accept that. The true conservative would work hard to ensure the taxation is fairly distributed -- and NOT reward his political contributors with favors.
I agree the public voted Prop 5 in. McClintock was a prime supporter however. And continues to support ZERO taxes for Casinos owned by his major contributors. He should admit that connection, not hide from it.

Thank you. Relevancy doesn't matter to someone who has nothing else to say.

Electing candidates like Arnold Schwarzengger and Michael Bloomberg is not the answer to succeeding against the Democartic Party and in realizing a conservative triumph over liberalism. It won't happen!
Staying on the highroad should always be the place for conservative Republicans and electing people who are conservative minded candidates is the only way to go.

The Arnold haters crack me up! It looks pretty obvious to me that Arnold likes the ladies. Oh my! He hit on a few, and now, years later, a half dozen come forward, only two by name, tearfully retelling their ordeal. There's even different accounts by eyewtinesses in at least one case. If you think this is going to bury Arnold I've got a bridge to sell you in Brooklyn.

Actually, the time line reads like this:
The LA Times reprints accusations that Arnold acted like a pig toward some women.
Numerous Freepers leap to his defence, decrying the liberal press and Democratic slime machine.
Arnold promptly and publicly admits he acted like a pig toward some women.
Arnold promptly and publicly apologizes for acting like a pig toward some women.
Numerous Freepers left with egg on face when man whose innocence they spontaneously and loudly proclaimed, admits guilt.

When I played football, a common gag was to put ben gay in someone's jock strap. Is that sexual harrassment ? Last spring in Baltimore, a bar held "Pardi Gras" where men would be given beads and the women would collect them by flashing boobs. The girls with the most beads got some kind of prize.
Fun and games of the past are now sexual harrassment (if you are a republican who is about to defeat a democrat.) This groping is ridiculous democrat politics.

He said he had been responsible for bad behavior that he thought (at the time) was just playful and apologized to anyone he may have offended. That's it.
For all you or I know, it could have been as minor as using profanity inappropriately.

For all you or I know, it could have been as minor as using profanity inappropriately. Yeah, that must be it.
ROFL.

I have done things that were not right which I thought then was playful but now I recognize that I offended people." Please read my post 426

Yes, allegedly this is why Arnold didn't run for governor last year.
I'm waiting to hear the words "vast left wing conspiracy".
To: Southflanknorthpawsis
I already answered this. Perhaps you were too bothered to read mine and Sabertooth's posts. I suggest you reread the thread to find my earlier comments.

You're quite lenient. If someone snuck up behind my wife and grabbed her breasts, that person would find themselves in a decidedly unenviable position.

No, you have not come close to answering.
I asked you what you KNEW he did and I asked what specifically he admitted.
Do you really think that you are not obviously backed into a corner?
You cannot answer the question and you are running with the assumptions that suit your agenda.

>>> He seems to be approaching this in a neat way...
it seems more of a "let's do this together" platform
than the common "I'm the very smartest one to do this for you" attitude.<<<
You're exactly right.
He doesn't come across as bigger than life at all,
when you see him in person. I'd have to say Issa was
even more of a presence than Arnold.
My impression from the rally was that those supporting Arnold weren't there to see a movie star. They were supporting the man who can actually whup Davis.
If you want to see substance, you should've heard Issa rally the troops. Arnold said in no uncertain terms that
we need to encourage everyone to vote.
His opposition tries to paint us as star-struck hero worshippers, and it couldn't be farther from the truth!
Our daughter nailed it. She said:
"I don't think Arnold is sexy at all.
I'm not impressed because he's a movie star.
I'm voting for him because he doesn't have to be doing
this. He's doing it because he loves California."
