AN DIEGO (AP) -- Gubernatorial front-runner Arnold Schwarzenegger acknowledged that he has "behaved badly" to women and offered an apology Thursday.

Schwarzenegger's remarks, as he kicked off a four-day bus tour of the state in the final days of the recall campaign, came after a Los Angeles Times story published Thursday in which six women accused him of sexually harassing and groping them.

I don't object to the post, but your glee at the tarnishing of Arnold's armour.

I posted the article and asked if the L.A. Times story was the last shoe to drop. How is that glee?

While I was never under the illusion that Arnold's armour was shiny, I'm not especially thrilled that so many Republicans ignored the certainty that this story, or others, were ticking like time bombs all throughout this campaign.

Remember what I said about the real world. Try it sometime.

Says the lady who'd rather lob verbal grenades than take reponsibility for her ill-advised political stance.

Your comment was taken out of context and made into it's own thread on DU:

What's fascinating is that several DU'ers are positive that Lijahsbubbe is actually a leftie infiltrator....

Uh oh!!!! That's what the compromising Republicans and pundits get for endorsing a liberal! Serves them right!! If they would have endorsed McClintock from the beginning, Arnold would have dropped out and McClintock would be Bustamante head to head (read the polls).

Thanks alot pundits!

You're remarks about me gloating are first class juvenile crap! I agree with you on every point you listed, except the last one. I was willing to give Arnold the benefit of the doubt early on and said so on numerous occasions. I was willing to give him a pass on his social liberalism and said so on numerous occasions. You don't know what you're talking about and for good reason.

Since Arnold announced, the infatuation for his candidacy has been excessive and downright silly. His inability to give specifics and details, his general disgust for conservatives, calling us "rightwing crazies", is enough for any fair minded person. With this latest revelation form Arnie, I've had enough. Arnold's remarks today shows he is very Clintonesque in nature.

Bottom line on the issues. Arnold does nothing to advance the conservative agenda and the GOP party platform. The objective of conservatism is to triumph over liberalism, not the other way around.

Apparently inherent in his choice not to grope women, is the claim that Tom McClintock is the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.

Sounds like projection......

While you and Arnie laugh, the women cry.

The feminazi's I work with are the ones that are crying, and I'm really enjoying laughing at them!

Just like by the more laws you have the law you will have, the more women cry the less their tears mean.

Here's a novel question for anyone who can answer it.

Since so many have the daggers out for Arnold for what he did........what did he do? Does anyone have details or any detailed account?

What exactly was so awful, when and where did it happen, etc?

Since they already have the gallows constructed and the noose is tied, what is the charge?

I bet 'tock is wishing he could have a little excitement about his life discovered and publicized.

"Kenneth Starr is obsessed with sex."

Listen to yourself.

This L.A. Times story has nothing to do at all with Tom McClintock.

Some folks here need to take a powder.

One of the things that has led to the collapse of the Bustamante campaign was his inability to deal forthrightly with the issue of tribal swag in his campaign. Busty is tanking. McClintock is staying in precisely because he thinks he can come in second and give himself a big boost to confront Boxer.

Arnold has dealt forthrightly with this issue, and has confronted it head on. I will bet you that the Davis people had some stuff on Arnold and fed it to the Times. The LAT, just to be fair, had to do its own legwork, but the Davis people pointed them in the right direction.

That's how I think this started, but I don't believe that this is going to affect the race. Why?

My friend in La Crescenta, Adam, got his car tax statement today. It's tripled. It's one of the reasons he's moving to Arizona (he's taking his guns with him, too). That's what people care about, not whether Arnold groped Linda Hamilton (which he didn't, but I'm just using an example). I say again, people will care about their bills in the privacy of the voting booth. Women especially, since they tend to handle the household money.

Most of the time, people vote their pocketbooks. This election is a pocketbook election. It's not about abortion. It's not about Grayout's dirty tricks. It's not about Arnold's stance on guns. It's about money. Period.

Be Seeing You,

Chris

It felt like a historical moment, being there this morning. There seemed to be a big smile on everyone's face while filing out afterwards.

Sounds like it was a great rally! Did you take any pictures? :-)

I think the time maybe drawing near, when cosnervatives unite and form their own political party. The Conservative Party and then tell you people of NO principles and NO convictions to stuff it.

No that maybe the best thing that could happen.... Take you ball and play with it somewhere else. I guess you can afford to do without the support and votes of the rest of the party so good luck in getting your candidates elected.... LOL.

Yep you really make a lot of sense.... RINO

Anonymous source + timely release = falsehood.

I can remember times when I didn't know the names of Paula Jones,
Monica Lewinsky, Kathleen Willey, or Juanita Broderick.
