As for Rush's resignation, the answer lies in his own words. He said his "opinion caused discomfort for the crew." If that is so, I can understand why a man of Rush's integrity would resign for the good of the show. I'm disappointed, but I can understand why he felt he needed to do this.
thx for the kind words...what's interesting is that the other commentators did argue good points why Rush was incorrect about McNabb, he is a star, but ESPN just seemed uncomfy with the controversy...and missed the point Rush was making. In a way, he had to be sacrificed to prove his point.
