Berman is quoted in an article today that he's a "New England Democrat".

I wouldn't be surprised if was behind this. I don't think he cared for Rush being hired in the first place.

The more I watch the clip from last Sunday's ESPN show, it's becoming more and more clear that the topic was how good McNabb really was and if he was declining.

Rush was stupid enough to think he was hired for his opinions and his talk show host persona took over and he threw in "the media is desireous to see a black QB do well" while saying McNabb was never really that good.

If he had made that a topic for his mini-monologue with backup like he did the black coaches topic in week one, then I don't think it would have been blown out of proportion.

But since the entire conversation about McNabb centered on his ability, his comments about the media do look out of context and don't add to his point.
