"The answer to that is, absolutely," state party spokesman Bob Mulholland said when asked whether the conduct of the voting may spark yet another legal challenge"
What I don't understand is why the recall forces haven't started legal proceedings on how the ballot is set up already.
If you vote No on the recall, you still get to vote on who you would like to be Governor if Davis does not survive the recall effort! I thought that voting against the recall was the same as voting for Davis, and yet they still get to pick an alternate. I don't get to vote for candidate A and then for candidate B, just in case.
You watch, every Democrat will vote no on the recall and then vote for Bustamante just to be sure. Then the numbers game will begin. Lets just say 100 people voted no on the recall and voted for Bustamante as well, and you have 101 people who voted for candidate A who just happenes to win the election. The Dems will spin this showing how only 101 votes were cast for the winning candidate while 200 votes were cast against him. "He has no mandate!" "The majority of votes were against the winner!" "The Republicans bought the election as they only won with 1/3rd of the votes."
Of course they will let the illiterate electorate assume that those 200 votes were cast by 200 people, not the 100 that really cast them. I mean everyone knows you only get one vote...right?
Best Regards
Sergio

Here a couple of examples to expect from the Demoncrat poll watchers:
"As Shaniquiwanda Jackson approached her polling place to vote against the recall, Joe Smith walked towards her wearing an "Elect Arnold" pin. He looked at her when he passed by and came within 5 feet of her causing a slight breeze! Fearing for her safety, she quickly returned to her car, went home and contacted her congressman!"
"Juan Perez had intended to vote "NO" on the recall and "YES" on Bustamante. After making an error on his punch card, he asked one of the poll workers for a new card. The poll worker handed him the card and told him to make sure to put it all the way in the slot next time. Feeling that this was a personal racial assault, he then stormed out went home and contacted his congressman!"

We learned from the Dems through the Wellstone funeral that it's not about dignity, it's about WINNING!
Encouraging "another Florida-style fiasco" is just the ticket for the California Recall Special Election here.
While we're speaking of "truth in advertising," let's remember the strategy they have: create confusion, chaos, and KEEP COUNTING THE VOTES UNTIL OUR SIDE GETS THE WIN.
Now that's out in the open, we can heap shame on such machinations. Wonder what the Republicans have up their sleeve to counteract this?

Thank you, deary, for the ping...
I've got a theory 'bout this thing
It isn't a coincidence that 'gambling' is a theme...
I think it just might play a bigger part than it would seem.
The big casino money and the "Seabiscuit" horse race...
Perhaps the Tom supporters feel they had a bet to place.
Who knows just how much money was invested by them all?
And now they fear that they won't win a thing in this recall.
That lottery mentality, that all-or-nothing stance...
Is hard to reason with...they still think Tom has got a chance.

I'm sure the Democrats are already drafting their affidavits about evil Repulblican police roadblocks that only stop minority voters from reaching the polls, evil Republican pollwatchers throwing out completed Bustamante ballots, and evil Republican attempts to design the punch-card ballots to make them indecipherable to only liberal voters - the Republicans being careful to pass out the special "Schwarzenegger Glasses" beforehand to their loyal voters which enable only the wearers to understand and successfully complete a valid punchcard ballot.

We need to have our own poll watchers in place as well. Ca. Freepers charge up those video cameras and video tape any illegal voter fuard such as passing out smoke and trying to get illegals to vote especially Hispanics with common last names. Dems will do everything possible to turn this into Florida Part 2. If you do record something illegal get it off to the Dept of Justice ASAP.

Thanks...I must apologize
for ranting so 'off-topic'...
It's just an explanation for
them staying so myopic.

"We're going to do everything that's legal to have the votes counted in California, and we're putting the Republicans on notice that we're prepared for their goon tactics this time. - Bob Mulholland" Now here's a case of the pot calling the kettle black.

Here is hoping.
Hell, I'll take a landslide AND a big fat ACLU whiny challenge. That'll go over big. The MoveOn.org morons already have blown millions trying to stop the Texas de-gerrymandering and the CA recall. So let the ACLU and the Dem/Union machine waste yet more resources. Less to spend down the road ...
