Then, we were treated - for years on end, in fact - to the pathetic spectacle of his poor bereaved father demanding investigations and bewailing the injustice and. And, and and and and.
The point of fact is that in both cases, the permissive, "Progressive" *parents* were perfectly happy to sit there preening to their coffehouse-intellectual cohorts over what a magnificent example of socialist dedication they had raised... but then couldn't cope with the harsh reality that they'd raised a very naive little Junior or Missy who were off playing at being activists in a very big grownup world, about which their fruity parents had taught them nothing... *nothing*. (In defense of said fruitcakes, they probably didn't *know* anything of the realities of life, being in a similarly infantile state themselves, so they didn't have anything *to* communicate to their precious darling offspring...).
So now, all of a sudden, reality has bitten... and we're off to Israel, or into the press, trying to find a way - really - to pretend that it all didn't happen, or make it all go away, or salvage our own self-esteem...
Meanwhile, daddy-o... (Mommy-o?) - your precious little leftist "peace activist" ain't coming back... a mountain of Marxist dogma piled all the way to heaven ain't gonna bring him or her back... and you can't deal with it, can you? You play, you pay... and you can't stand it, can you?
The more you all talk the sillier you become. There is no possible way you can defend this callous group cackle about the crushing death of a kid, no matter how misguided you say she was or what her politics were....no possible way.
