Over thousands of years of recorded history, the great majority of the most intelligent people have believed in God. There's something very provincial about modern-day atheists priding themselves in their ignorance.

The last great defense of the existence of God is probably Emannuel Kant's "Critique of Pure Reason". Since then the Department of Theology has ceased to be an intellectually respectable part of institutions of higher learning.
