Schwarzenegger will implement benefits for "domestic partners".

He opposes prop 54.

He agrees with Bustamante on tax payer support for illegal immigrants.

Schwarzenegger opposes school vouchers to allow taxpayers to use the money they all ready paid to send their children to the school of their choice.

I would rather have a democrat carry out a democrat agenda than a Republican.

Schwarzenegger would set a precedent that will move to other states and races which will make the Republicans be unable to run pro-life or pro-family candidates.

It essentially morphs the Repubs and dems. The Repubs will become a center left party and the dems a lefter left party.

Only in your head and in those who agree with your wrongheadedness. You refuse to view reality through anything but blackout glasses.

You haven't the scintilla of a clue, just what Arnold would or would NOT do.

"Schwarzenegger would set a precedent that will move to other states and races which will make the Republicans be unable to run pro-life or pro-family candidates."

You are right that this is the risk. And if this comes to pass, we'll have to fight the spread of moderate-liberals in the party. But I'd rather fight this scenario than see California eviscerated by La Raza Man.

If we are to get more conservative WINNING candidates in CA, we face the daunting task of getting more conservative voters in the state - even the oddball dynamics of the recall election don't change this. Early in the recall process, there was the scenario of a single true conservative going against a fragmented liberal base. But even in this situation, the winner wouldn't have had a winning mandate. He wouldn't have the club needed to beat back down the hyper-leftist legislature.

So the task for us California Conservatives is as follows: Get more conservative voters in the state. As far as I can see it, this can only come about by 3 methods:

  1. Educate open minded people into believing the conservative way;
  2. Get conservatives to immigrate to California, or
  3. Find fellow conservatives of the opposite sex, drop our pants, and get to work!

FR has the first base covered, I'll invite any Texans to experience the excellent outdoors life to cover base 2, and regarding the final one, well, my FR mailbox is open and waiting....

Let's even assume that all you wrote in your post about Arnold was true [which many Freepers do vehemently deny]:

the question still remains: can you honesty say that CALIFORNIA would be better off with Busty as governor than Arnold. All your answers only indicate that it might be worse for the conservative or even republicans, but you have not answered the question:

Can you honestly say that CALIFORNIA would be better off with Busty as governor than Arnold?

Can you name one?
