That's not quite as good of you, as the one on your home page, dear. :-)

The Clown
Laugh at me, I am the fool
To learn to be, I went to school
Honk my nose, I'll jump about
Step on my toes, Ill scream and shout
To be happy or cry is my makeup choice
Since I don't talk that is my voice
They only pay me what I deserve by half
Cause it is priceless to be able to laugh!

You want the last word ? Have it. Your juvenile stabs at poetry are mind numbingly horrid, base, vacant, painful, banal, inane, worthless, and you're highjacking a thread, for your own ego.
To: nopardons
Who cares. It's a dead thread out of hundreds of recall threads.
You have no sense of humor.
To: nopardons
By the way, my poetry may be all of the things you say save one: worthless.
One person enjoyed it, and it made them remember pleasant memories of their family. So it is not lacking in some worth.
Good night. Try and get up on the other side of the bed tomorrow.

he is a traitor to the Republican party no matter how Conservative you think he is. He is a conservative loser, spoiler with unrealistic visions of grandeur. He deserves nothing from the Republican party anymore. He has become a nightmare to the people of California and must be worked against to EVER gain another office in politics. Look for a switch to the Libertarians after this for Tom out of desperation. OMG A TRAITOR TO THE PARTY!
Guess what! The lights are off and the Party is over.
I'm sick the polls and I'm sick of "(R)nold is the only one who can win. But, he can't win if McClintock is in the race". Anyone that wants to call McClintock the spoiler doesn't have a clue.
I would own (R)nold if I had a nickel from everyone that said "McClintock is the better choice, but he can't win!" If everyone who said that would go vote for the better choice, (R)nold wouldn't have a chance in Hollywood.

Tom went from 12% to 17% since the Chamber of Commerce's last poll on Sept 1-4. Arnold has gone from 33% to 35%. I've plugged these numbers into my government surplus home Cray and crunched them extensively.
The results are that Tom will surpass Arnold with a large enough victory margin sometime in August 2005. Recommend Tom getting the courts to stall the election till then. Over and out.

Your post is interesting, but it is NOT a person saying that they would rather vote for Busty over McClintock, or even close to that.
A McC supporter, on this thread, had stated that he would rather have Busty as governor than Arnold. After some posters stated that that was flabbergasting and a travesty, a Freeper stated that some other Freepers had said that they would prefer Busty over McClintock.
Since I had never seen such a post, I asked for evidence.
Your post evidences another who would support a liberal democrat over a so-called RINO, but is not evidence that anyone would vote for Busty over McC.

you wrote: "But I'm not just talking about FR. This is just a microcosm, as it always is, of what is happening out in the real world."
I beg to differ, This is NOT a microcosm of the real world, The Freepersphere is a world largely unto itself. the only thing even remotely close would be an editorial room at a large newpaper, IF there was enough diversity of opinion for them to argue.
Most of the real world go about their lives without spending their time arguing more and more heatedly about less and less.

FR is a microcosm specifically of what is happening in GOP circles.
You need to remember that FR has tremendous reach into that milieu.
I can't tell you how many times I have seen events follow the debate on FR very speedily. Haven't you noticed?
And we are almost always ahead of the curve.

The professional wisdom over decades of such things has been that a frontrunner rarely if ever debates--that doing so could only or too likely cost him.

So well put.
Tom McEgo needs vastly improved reality testing. If his reality testing is this bad about this situation and about himself, he doesn't deserve to run for dog catcher. He would be a hazard to the dogs with that kind of ego and blindness.

Next Wednesday morning, Iowans are going to have the chance to vote for California's governor. The popular am WHO (Ronald Reagan's old stomping grounds) "Van and Bonnie" are holding an election for California's governor. Iowans can pull into the parking lot of Merle Hay Mall and cast their votes.
They are also going to have "hanging chads". Their hanging chads will be men with the name of Chad hanging from monkey bars.
To: ambrose
Arnold stalled out? I seem to remember he was 25-27% about two weeks ago, now most polls show him at 33-35%.
McClintock has hovered between 12-18% in the same period... If Tom doesn't fold his tent in the next few days, get used to
Governor GRAY DAVIS
McClintock will have done his part in insuring that...
...Hillary Clinton/Wesley Clark are elected in 2004

The problem is, those who don't think Schwarzenegger for gov is a good idea are informed.
RFK as advisor has been reported in many newspapers.
Schwarzenegger has given speeches and announced posioons based on RFK's ideas.
Some of us actually read and pay attention.
To: ambrose
You quoted someone from another thread as saying:
"Schwarzenegger could implode tomorrow, and I'd vote for Gary Coleman over McClintock in a heartbeat. McClintock's supporters have convinced me of that much."
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/976103/posts?page=67#67 What I found fascinating in this comment was that person wouldn't vote for McClintock because of MCCLINTOCK'S SUPPORTERS. Very interesting. . . .

Yeah, I saw on the news that Cruz was out plugging for Tom, and frankly, it made me feel nauseated. It is such a transparent ploy it is hard to imagine rational people not noticing it.
